With a break in March Madness betting action, lets take a look at some hot NBA bets you can cash in on this week.
What Games Should You Bet On This Week In The NBA
Cleveland at Memphis
When: Wednesday, March 25th
The Cavaliers have won 3 in a row since losing 92 to 106 to Miami on March 16. The Cavs have gone 2 and 1 against the spread in their last 3 games. But, they could be up against it versus Memphis on the road on Wednesday.
The Cavaliers beat Indiana straight up, 95 to 92, but they failed to cover the spread as a -10.5 point favorite. Memphis is tougher on the defensive end than Indiana is. The Grizzlies have turned it around since Mike Conley returned going 4 and 1 straight up. They should cover as a home dog versus Cleveland on Wednesday.
Dallas at San Antonio
When: Friday, March 27th
Dallas plays San Antonio twice this week. The first battle occurs on Tuesday. The second occurs on Friday. The Friday battle is in San Antonio, meaning that the Mavericks figure to have a tough time. Dallas is starting to score a lot of points, the average is up to 104.8 per game, but they’re giving up a lot of points as well.
The Mavericks allow opponents to score 101.1 points per game while shooting close to 45% from the field. San Antonio’s defense is giving up only 97.8 points per game. The Spurs could blow Dallas out in this Friday matchup.
Oklahoma City at Utah
When: Saturday, March 28th
The Thunder has shut down reigning MVP Kevin Durant for the regular season. That’s not a good sign for a team that’s battling the New Orleans Pelicans for the eighth spot in the Western Conference Playoffs. Even with Durant, OKC might find the going difficult versus Utah on the road.
The Jazz are playing like a team possessed. Not counting matchups versus Minnesota, Portland, and Denver this week, Utah has gone 7 and 3 straight up in their last 10 games. The Jazz’s defense is now ranked first in the NBA in points allowed per game at 94.9. Utah could easily cover versus a downtrodden Oklahoma City team on Saturday.
Memphis at San Antonio
When: Sunday, March 29th
The Grizzlies travel to San Antonio to take on the Spurs. As good as the Spurs are they don’t really match up well with Memphis. Memphis’s front line takes away any advantage that the Spurs might have inside while Mike Conley can hold his own with Tony Parker.
The Spurs could try and speed the pace up versus Memphis. That probably won’t work. Memphis rarely falls into style traps. If the Grizzlies are big dogs, consider playing this one both ways, against the spread and on the money line.
