NBA Free Picks Dec 4 – 10Josh Bailey
Young Guns Go At in It Philly, Dubs in Detroit, Plus C’s in San Antonio
The 2017-18 NBA betting season is in full swing and if you are looking for a few good NBA free betting picks you have come to the right place. I have a trio of winning picks for the week of December 4th to the 10th.
NBA Free Picks Dec 4 – 10
A bunch of big-name young guns will go at it for the second time this season when Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers host Lonzo Ball and the Los Angeles Lakers in a rematch of two young and improving ballclubs.
The Golden State Warriors will look to pick up the road win in Detroit against Andre Drummond and the Pistons while Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics look to stay hot when they visit the Alamo for a date against LaMarcus Aldridge and the San Antonio Spurs.
L.A. Lakers (8-15) at Philadelphia (13-9)
When: Thursday, December 7 at 8:00 PM ET
Where: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA
Lonzo Ball and the Lakers hit the new week riding a five-game losing streak and looking to extract some revenge against the Sixers for their 115-109 home loss against Philly back on November 15. Philly hits the new week having won four of six and coming off a hard-fought 108-103 win over Detroit on Saturday while the Lakers look to bounce back after suffering a convincing 118-95 home loss against Houston.
Sixers center Joel Embiid scored a team-high 25 points against the Pistons this weekend to lead Philly to the win and torched the Lakers for a career-high 46 points when they met earlier this season. Lonzo Ball was held to two points against Houston on Sunday on 0-for-4 shooting from the field and looks like he’s going backward fast right now. Philly gets the home win in another thriller in this one simply because Embiid and Ben Simmons don’t like Ball and want to shut his daddy LaVar up once and for all this season – like that’s gonna’ happen!
Pick: Sixers 113 Lakers 105
Golden State (18-6) at Detroit (14-8)
When: Friday, December 8 at 7:00 PM ET
Where: Little Caesars Arena Detroit, MI
The Warriors have gone 7-3 over their last 10 while Detroit has gone a modest 5-5 over the same span. The Dubs have won three straight coming into the new week and blasted Miami off the court in their 123-95 win on Sunday while Detroit got man-handled by Joel Embiid and the Sixers on Saturday night.
While I’ve been really impressed with the Pistons in the early going this season and Andre Drummond in particular, the fact of the matter is that Detroit just doesn’t have the offensive firepower and depth it takes to keep pace with the explosive Warriors, who average 13 points more per game while giving up just three points per game more than Detroit defensively! The Dubs win by a dime!
Pick: Golden State 117 Detroit 107
Boston (20-4) at San Antonio (15-8)
When: Friday, December 8 at 9:30 PM ET
Where: AT&T Center San Antonio, TX
The Celtics have won eight of their last 10 and two straight coming into the new week while San Antonio has won seven of 10 but had their four-game winning streak snapped against Oklahoma City on Sunday night. The C’s got past Phoenix 116-111 on Saturday as six players scored in double figures, led by Kyrie Irving’s modest 19 points. The Spurs were on the wrong end of a narrow 90-87 road loss against the Thunder, though LaMarcus Aldridge sat out for rest and both, Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard are still out.
Even though San Antonio is playing at home in this contest, Boston is the better team at both ends of the floor right now and will be going all-out to get a quality win against the Spurs. Boston won’t get it easily as I fully expect San Antonio to put up a fight, but I do like the C’s to get the narrow road win led by Irving and Boston’s cast of blossoming young star like Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
Pick: Boston 98 San Antonio 95
