If you haven’t been paying attention to the NBA restart but are going to be betting on the NBA bubble games this week, keep reading for which games you should target.
NBA Top Games of the Week August 10 – August 16
Monday, August 10
Toronto Raptors vs Milwaukee Bucks
Even though Boston routed the Raptors in their August 8 battle, Toronto has a chance against Milwaukee on Monday. The Raptors allows less points per than any team in the NBA while Milwaukee hasn’t allowed less than 112 in any game during the restart.
Denver Nuggets vs L.A. Lakers
The Lakers are on a 3-game losing streak. Definitely handicap this matchup before dumping on the Nuggets. Just remember that LAL has already locked up the top seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. So, don’t expect LeBron and Co. to go all out in any game this week.
Tuesday, August 11
Houston Rockets vs San Antonio Spurs
Rockets beat the Spurs 109-107 in the last matchup. San Antonio is 2 games behind Memphis for the final playoff spot. They have a lot to play for this week.
Portland Trail Blazers vs Dallas Mavericks
Portland is 1 ½ games behind the Grizzlies. Dallas locked up a playoff spot last week. If they rest Luka, which they should, the Blazers could win and cover.
Wednesday, August 12
Indiana Pacers vs Houston Rockets
If Houston starts Russell and The Beard against the Spurs, expect the pair, or at least one of the star players, to sit on Wednesday. Indiana is in the playoffs. But the Pacers haven’t let up. On August 8, Indiana beat the Lakers 116-111.
Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers
Both teams should use this game to get sharp for the postseason. This is especially true for the Sixers who are 1-3 ATS during the restart.
L.A. Clippers vs Denver Nuggets
The same idea applies to these two teams. The Clippers and Nuggets are in the postseason. Denver must get their defense back on track after allowing 126 to San Antonio, 125 to Portland, and 132 to Utah from August 5 through August 8.
Thursday, August 13
Milwaukee Bucks vs Memphis Grizzlies
Memphis is fighting for their playoff lives. The Grizzlies could blow out the Bucks on Thursday if Milwaukee decides to take it easy. The Bucks shouldn’t do that, though. Like we wrote above, Milwaukee’s defense has left something to be desired during the Orlando restart.
Dallas Mavericks vs Phoenix Suns
Phoenix is just 2 games behind Memphis. As of August 8, the Suns are the hottest team in the NBA. They’ve won all 5 of their Orlando restart contests.
Friday, August 14
Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers
The Heat are 1-3 ATS in their last 4. Indiana is on fire. Wait to see how both teams handle the final week of the regular season before backing either squad.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs L.A. Clippers
This game may not happen. If it does, expect both teams to rest starters. That wouldn’t make for great basketball. But from a betting point-of-view, it may give the deep Thunder an edge.
