With 19 minutes left in their game against the Bucks, Boston was up 22 points and simply ran out of gas, watching the Bucks storm back to win the game by 3 with a few seconds left on the clock. The Grizzlies are a very technical team, they keep the ball down low and force the opponents big man to move much more then desired to keep up and avoid the easy points. Boston needs to learn from a loss like this and come together to make a defensive stand, push each other to dig deeper.
The Celtics travel to Memphis to take on one of the most dominating inside post team in the West, the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies plan their offense through their post players, moving the ball to the corners and playing from their in, so the Celtics need to cut off all pass action lines and stay in front of their man, the extra pass inside could hurt them so expect them to rotate their front court much more than usual.
The Grizzlies see the Celtics as a power attacking team; they are at their best when in transition with Green leading the way. I expect them to make sure they have someone that can get back in time to at the very least alter the shoot, so this might be a game the Celtics win the rebounding war. Memphis must concentrate on moving the ball and getting the Celtics tired, they will have an easier chance to catch them off guard.
What to expect:
The Grizzlies are -6.5 in this game and I see them taking it by more than that, the Celtics have lost their defensive intensity and have really struggled in the boards, knowing that they have to set their guys up to rebound 80% of the defensive plays will really hurt their offensive production.
