Bet on the Cleveland Cavaliers +9 because…
The Cleveland Cavaliers discovered how to beat the Golden State Warriors in Game 4. With their backs against the wall, Cleveland responded beautifully against Golden State. The Cavs scored an amazing 49 points in the first quarter on their way to a 137 to 116 win. With momentum, Cleveland has a shot of winning back to back games in this series.
Bet on the Golden State -9 because…
The Warriors were due for a letdown after going undefeated and running the Cavs out of the building in the first 4 games. Golden State couldn’t keep shooting lights out for the entire NBA Playoffs. Now that the Warriors get the Cavs on their home court, they should have no trouble taking Cleveland down for the count, right?
Cleveland Vs Golden State NBA Finals Game 5 Pick
I’m not so sure. Don’t get me wrong, Golden State is one of the best basketball teams I’ve ever seen. But, Game 4 was difficult to watch.
The Cavs held Golden State to a terrible 44.8% from the field. Golden State made 39 of 87 shots. The Warriors shot 28.2% from three. Golden State only made 11 of 39 three-point shots.
Did Golden State just bounce? Or, have the Cavaliers discovered something? There are two telling stats in Game 4. The first is the stat that shows Golden State and Cleveland took the same number of shots from the field, 87. Cleveland hit 52.9% of their shots from the field.
The second stat must do with the quarter scores. Yes, Cleveland jumped out to a 49 to 33 lead after Q1. Golden State played much better after the onslaught. But, the Cavs won every quarter in Game 4.
What it tells me is that Cleveland can play with Golden State. I’m not ready to put a fork into The King and his mates. I think Cleveland pulls off another incredible upset.
