NBA Expert Picks Nov 14-20Josh Bailey
Two of my top NBA Picks of the Week involve the second-best team in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors. How will Golden State handle tough Toronto in Canada on Wednesday? On Friday, could the Warriors take down Boston in the TD Garden? The other game where I find a top hoops’ pick is when Chicago travels to Los Angeles to battle the Clippers. What’s going to happen when Dwayne Wade comes to L.A.?
NBA Expert Picks Nov 14-20
Golden State at Toronto
When: Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON
Analysis: Golden State travels to Toronto to battle the Raptors in a game between one of the best teams in the West, Golden State, versus one of the best teams in the East, Toronto. Do the Warriors have any reason to fear the Raptors?
Toronto is built somewhat like Golden State. The Raptors rely on their backcourt of DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry. The Raptors average 105 points per game while allowing only 99.2 points per game. Toronto has won 6 out of their last 7.
I think that they could pull off the upset over Golden State. I’ll back Toronto on the moneyline in this matchup.
Golden State at Boston
When: Friday, Nov. 18 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: TD Garden, Boston, MA
Analysis: Two days later, the Warriors travel to Boston to battle the Celtics at the TD Garden. At 5-4 to start the week, Boston is in second place behind Toronto in the Atlantic Division. The Celtics, when healthy, have the players to go toe-to-toe with Golden State. This is especially true in a home game.
But Boston has some injury issues they’re dealing with. Isaiah Thomas is listed as probable to start the week. Al Horford is listed as questionable. Jae Crowder is out until mid-November. From where I’m sitting, it doesn’t appear that the Celtics have any shot of beating Golden State.
The Warriors bounce back after their shocking loss to Toronto on Wednesday to take down Boston on Friday.
Chicago at L.A. Clippers
When: Saturday, Nov. 19 at 10:30 pm ET
Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
TV: NBA TV
Analysis: Dwayne Wade and the Chicago Bulls travel to Los Angeles to battle the best team in the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers. To start the week, the Clippers have an awesome team in 2016. LAC is an incredible 9-1 straight up and an even more incredible 8-2 against the spread.
If the Clippers stay healthy, it’s hard to see them slowing down. LAC is ranked first in points allowed per game at 91.9. They are ranked first in field goal percentage allowed at 40.6%. The team has a different player leading it in points per, Blake Griffin, rebounds per, DeAndre Jordan, and assists per, Chris Paul.
That’s a sign that the Clips are well-rounded. They should have no trouble handling D-Wade and the Bulls on Saturday.
Pick: L.A. Clippers
