The 2018-19 NBA season is shaping to be one of the best in years and this week there are a trio of tantalizing games that you should bet on.
Expert Picks NBA Nov 5-11
Milwaukee Bucks at Golden State Warriors
When: Thursday, Nov. 8 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA
Analysis: Milwaukee’s been one of the surprise teams in the league. As of Nov. 3, Milwaukee leads the Central Division with a 7-1 record. The Bucks are 5-2-1 against the spread in 8 games.
They battle the Golden State Warriors on the road. Golden State’s 9-1. They’ve been very good covering spreads at home, going 4-1 ATS in their 5 home games as of Nov. 3. If the Warriors play as well as they usually do, they’ll have a shot to win and cover.
Milwaukee matches up well with the Warriors, though. Bucks have a good shot at beating Golden State on the moneyline.
Pick: Milwaukee Bucks
Boston Celtics at Utah Jazz
When: Friday, Nov.9 at 9:30 pm ET
Where: Vivint Smart Home Arena, Salt Lake City, UT
Analysis: Two of the best defensive teams in the NBA battle it out on Friday night when the Celtics travel to Utah to take on the Jazz. Boston ranks first in the NBA in points allowed per, 99.8, second in field goal percentage allowed, 41.8%, and first in three-point percentage allowed, 28.6%.
Utah ranks eighth in points allowed per at 108.7. The Jazz are a decent team, but they head into the week off 3 straight losses. They host Toronto and Dallas this week before the Friday battle with Boston.
Pick: Boston Celtics
Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs
When: Saturday, Nov. 10 at 8:30 pm ET
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX
TV: NBA Net
Analysis: The bad news is Houston hasn’t played nearly as well as many expected them to heading into the NBA Season. The Rockets are under .500 heading into the week. They start a 3-game road trip on Nov. 5: at Indiana, at Oklahoma City, and at San Antonio.
The Rockets don’t play defense that well. That could be the issue in this Saturday game versus San Antonio. The Spurs are better defensively while DeMar DeRozan has torn it up in Spurs black and silver.
San Antonio’s the team to back
Pick: San Antonio Spurs
