NBA Free Picks For Sunday Feb 28thJosh Bailey
The NBA has a decent line-up of games on Sunday. It’s decent enough to where I had to make hard decisions for my free NBA betting picks for this Sunday. Cleveland takes on Washington at 1:00 pm ET on Feb. 26. About 2 and a half hours later, they tip-it off in Atlanta when the Hawks host the Charlotte Hornets. The final game that I like for my best Sunday bets article has the Toronto Raptors battling the Pistons in Detroit
Analyzing My NBA Free Picks For Sunday Feb 28th
Cleveland Cavaliers at Washington Wizards
When: Sunday, Feb. 28 at 1:00 pm ET
Analysis: The Wizards are 15 and 15 against the spread at home. The last time that they faced Cleveland, Washington lost by 6, 115 to 121. The Wizards actually covered in that game since Cleveland was a 7.5 point road favorite over the Wizards.
Although Cleveland has been winning a lot of games, the Cavaliers haven’t been overly impressive against the spread. Cleveland is 6 and 1 straight up. They are only 4 and 3 ATS in those 7 games. The Cavs are 11-13-3 ATS overall in their away games this season as of Feb. 24.
Washington has a great shot of upsetting Cleveland on Feb. 28. I’m backing the Wizards at what should be a decent price on the money line.
Charlotte Hornets at Atlanta Hawks
When: Sunday, Feb. 28 at 3:30 pm ET
Analysis: The Hawks have lost 4 out of their last 5 games as of Feb. 24. 3 of the 4 losses occurred in Atlanta home games. The game versus Charlotte on Sunday is the fifth of a 5 game home stand for the Hawks.
The last time that Charlotte faced Atlanta, the Bobcats beat the Hawks 107 to 84. At 29 and 27, Charlotte has a winning record. What’s more encouraging is that the Bobcats are 4 and 1 straight up in their last 5 games. Atlanta is Charlotte’s sixth straight road game in a 6 game road trip. Usually, that would be a problem, but Charlotte is a young team that just likes playing basketball. I think the Hornets take this game on Sunday.
Toronto Raptors at Detroit Pistons
When: Sunday, Feb. 27 at 6:00 pm ET
Analysis: Toronto beat Detroit 108 to 89 earlier this month on Feb. 8. Detroit’s talented front line couldn’t handle Toronto’s speed. The Raptors shot a blistering 55.7% from the field and 55% from three. As of Feb. 25, Toronto is working on a 3 game winning streak. The Raptors have a home game versus Cleveland before taking on the Pistons 2 days later on the road.
Detroit’s defense allows 45.7% shooting from the field on average. Opponents average a bit over 100 points and close to 35% shooting from three against Detroit’s D. That spells bad news versus a Toronto team that is ranked third in the NBA in three-point field goal percentage at 36.6% per game. I like the Raptors.
