NBA Free Picks March 7th-14th

The 2016 NBA playoffs tip-off in about an month and that means you are running out of time to bet on my weekly best NBA bets of the week. For this week, my NBA free picks focus on teams that play in games that mean something. By doing so, I can expect a good effort from the team that I like to win straight up and cover the spread. This week’s top bets start with the Clippers taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, March 9. On Thursday, March 10, Chicago travels to Texas to battle the San Antonio Spurs. Saturday’s feature game has The Spurs battling the Thunder at home. Keep reading to find out who I like this week in the NBA!

A Closer Look At My NBA Free Picks For March 7th-14th

Los Angeles Clippers at Oklahoma City
When: Wednesday, March 9 at 9:30 pm ET

The Clippers have a decent 15-12-2 record in away games against the spread to start the week. Los Angeles isn’t scheduled to get Blake Griffin back until late March. That might not be a problem for the Clippers against OKC on Wednesday night.

The last time that these 2 threw down, L.A. won 103 to 98. Center DeAndre Jordan abused OKC center Steve Adams. Jordan grabbed 18 boards and scored 20 points. Even though Kevin Durant went for 30 and Russell Westbrook went for 24, the Clippers still beat the Thunder. What it means is that OKC just doesn’t match up well with the Chris Paul led Clipps. I like L.A. to win straight up as a dog.

Pick: Los Angeles Clippers

Chicago at San Antonio
When: Thursday, March 10 at 8:00 pm ET

The San Antonio Spurs host the Chicago Bulls in what should be a decent matchup. The Bulls looked great the other night when beating Houston 108 to 100. Guard Jimmy Butler scored 24 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished 6 assists in that game. The last time that the Bulls faced the Spurs, they beat San Antonio 92 to 89.  Butler scored 14 points and grabbed 3 boards and had 3 assists in that game. Pau Gasol had 18 points for Chicago.

Even though the Bulls have a decent shot, it’s tough to back them either straight up or ATS versus San Antonio on Thursday night. Chicago is 11 and 19 against the spread in away games to start the week. San Antonio is 20 and 10 ATS at home to start the week. I’m backing the Spurs.

Pick: San Antonio

Oklahoma City at San Antonio
When: Saturday, March 5 at 8:30 pm ET

The Thunder may not match up well with the Clippers, but they definitely match up well with the Spurs. Kevin Durant scored 22 points and grabbed 6 boards in the last game between these 2. Russell Westbrook scored 33 and dished 10 assists. Oklahoma City beat San Antonio 112 to 106. Things could change, but since San Antonio figures to be a huge favorite, I’m inclined to back the Thunder on the money line and see where it goes.

Pick: Oklahoma City
