Two of the hottest teams in the NBA battle it out on Thursday night when defending NBA champion Golden State travels to Minnesota to take on the up and coming Timberwolves.
At the time of posting, the Warriors are undefeated. The team that Curry Built has been impossible to stop. What’s so impressive about Golden State is that they are winning on both ends of the court. Can they keep it going against what’s turning out to be a surprisingly effective Minnesota Timberwolves’ team?

If You Are Betting On The Golden State Warriors
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are proving that they are still the top guard tandem in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors have started out this season as if they never stopped playing last season.
Usually, a team that wins a championship in any of the major four sports starts out the next season without the same hunger that they showed in the season before. The Warriors are the NBA’s version of the Patriots in the NFL. Both teams are looking to beat every team that they’re faced with.
Without a doubt, the reason for Golden State’s success has to do with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Curry is averaging 32.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. Thompson is averaging 16.1 points, 4.1 boards and 2.5 assists per game. When both guys are going well, Golden State is almost impossible to beat.
"Our second unit is, we feel, the best in the NBA," Warriors interim coach Luke Walton said. "We’ve got veterans on that unit that know how to win. When they give us that type of performance it just makes us that much more dangerous."
"I definitely think we’ve got the best bench in the league," added Draymond Green. "That’s a real weapon for us. It was last year and it is again this year."
The Golden State Warriors are 5-1 straight up but 2-4 against the spread in their last six meetings against the Timberwolves. They have average 106.0 points, 49.5 rebounds, and 27.5 assists while shooting 44.8% from the field and 30.7 from three point land in their last two games against Minnesota.
If You Are Betting On The Minnesota Timberwolves
The most surprising team in the NBA this season has to be the Minnesota Timberwolves. As of Nov. 10, the Timberwolves sit on a 4 and 3 record. In their Nov. 9 game versus Atlanta, Minnesota blew a 34 point lead only to beat the Hawks 117 to 107 as a +9.5 point dog. They followed that up with a 104-95 loss to Charlotte.
Their best player, second year man Andrew Wiggins said it best when he stated that the Timberwolves are very “focused” and that things are “coming together”. For his part, Wiggins is averaging 19.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He scored over 30 points against Chicago on Nov. 7 and he also scored over 30 points against Atlanta in the win on Nov. 9. If Wiggins continues to perform, and the Timberwolves stay focused, Minnesota could be a tough team to beat.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are 1-5 straight up and 4-2 against the spread in their last six against the Warriors. They have averaged 96.5 points, 45.0 rebounds, 22.5 assists per game in their last two matchups in the series, shooting 41.4% from the field and 40.7% from three points.

Minnesota has a day off before taking on Golden State on Thursday night. Golden State enters this game after battling Memphis on the road on Nov. 11. While the spread for this game won’t be out until game day, I am picking the Timberwolves to keep this game close and you need to bet them against the spread. My final score prediction is Golden State 110, Minnesota 108.
