Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets return to LA to take on the troubled Lakers in what will more than likely be the death of the Lakers game. I even doubt that we will even see much of the Rockets starters or at all for that matter. The Lakers stand very little chance of getting a positive outcome from this game although not losing by double digits would be like a win for this team this season.
Houston knows that they have made the post season so they look top getting all their offensive as well as defensive play sets ready, they have to make sure everyone on the bench is ready to go as well as the first string backups. Houston can win this game without their starters, moving the ball and protecting it will be key, the Lakers are as one dimensional as they get. Houston will look to possibly establish their perimeter game in this one to work on some added sets from beyond the arc.
The Lakers are wishing that the season’s end was already upon us, they have to still brush through a few more games before they can take their time off. This is the youngest most inexperienced team that the Lakers have ever come out with at once, I don’t even think a true Lakers fans could name the 10 top players this season from this team. This will be yet another test to see how well they can move around on defense and how they can stop themselves from turning the ball over.
Pick: Houston could play with the cheerleaders ad give the Lakers a 35 point advantage and they would still win and cover the -14 spread they are currently on. Take the Rockets as they blast off from LA.
