Indiana Pacers Vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game 2 Line, Pick & TV InfoNoah Williams
After losing an absolute heartbreaker 109-108 in Game 1, Paul George and the seventh-seeded Indiana Pacers will be looking to extract some revenge against LeBron James and the second-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers when they square off in Game 2 of their opening round Ā Eastern Conference playoff series on Monday night.
Now, let’s find out if Indy can get the outright win, the ATS cover or neither.
Indiana Pacers Vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game 2 Line, Pick & TV Info
The Cavaliers are solid 7.5-point home favorites against the Pacers when this game gets underway on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 7:00 PM ET, live from Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio while airing live on TNT. Happy hunting.
When: Monday, April 17, 2017 at 7:00 PM ET
Where: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio
Spread: Cleveland -7.5
Why Bet The Indiana Pacers Odds at +7.5
After seeing the Pacers nearly pull off the outright win against Cleveland in Game 1 while easily covering the spread as 9-point road dogs just as I predicted, clearly, Indianapolis is offering a ton of value heading into game 2 as 7.5-point underdogs.
Instead of ending up on the wrong end of a humbling loss in Game 1 that left them wondering if they can keep up with the defending conference and league champions, the Pacers played fantastic basketball so much so that they’ve got to be thinking they have a legitimate chance to win their first round series outright.
I love the contributions that Indiana got from talented, but enigmatic forward Lance Stephenson (16 points, 5 rebounds) and impressive young big man Myles Turner, but the Pacers need point guard Jeff Teague and power forward Thaddeus Young to be better in Game 2 if they want to win outright.
Why Bet The Cleveland Cavaliers Odds at -7.5
The best reason to back the Cavaliers in Game 2 is that they are definitely going to be much more motivated to put on a better performance after narrowly getting past Indy in Game 1 on Saturday. Another great reason to back the Cavs is that Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are both due to have better games after respectively underperforming in Game 1. The Cavs are also playing at home in this contest and still have the most dominant player in this series in LeBron James. Last but not least, if you didn’t know, LeBron James hasn’t lost a first-round game since 2012.
Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
Just like Game 1, I don’t see the Cavaliers losing in Game 2, but I also don’t see them covering the spread in a matchup that looks like another thriller just waiting to happen.
Indiana has gone 7-0 ATS in their last seven games, 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Cleveland and a robustĀ 9-2-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings overall.
Conversely, the Cavaliers have compiled an uninspiring 18-38-1 ATS mark in their last 57 games against their Central Division counterparts while also going 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 home games following an SU win and a pitiful 0-4 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning SU record. Just like Game 1, the Cleveland Cavaliers win, but the Indiana Pacers find a way to cover!
My final score prediction is Cleveland 104 Indiana 100
