Kings Destroyed The Cavs In Game One

Probably the most horrific, one sided game the Cleveland Cavaliers had ever played, back on January 12 of last year, they traveled to Sacramento to face the Kings where they were not only blown out of the arena but suffered their worst loss in franchise history to any teams on the west coast. The final score was 124 to 80 with all of the Cavs starters playing, this is their one and only chance this season to make up for that terrible outing, this time at home they have the chance to show their fans it was a fluke and they can overcome it.

NBA – Sacramento Kings vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Sacramento Kings and the Cleveland Cavaliers go head to head Tuesday night in NBA action.
Starts: 02/11/2014 7:00PM
Quicken Loans Arena, One Center Court,
Cleveland, Ohio

The Kings dominated the Cavs in ever statistic, they had double Cleveland’s rebounds and almost three times their points scored in the paint but they cannot afford to get ahead of themselves, they know that the Cavs will be coming for blood and this will be a hard fought game. Cousins will be key for Sacramento as he will have to keep Varejao out of the paint. I expect this game to really be controlled by the guards as Thomas and Irving go head to head with one another.

Cleveland has no choice but to come out of this game with a win, losing will only add salt to the wound and make them look worse, not something they need during a season that had playoff expectation to it and standing with a 17-33 record. Irving and newly arrived Deng really must control the ball, they have to fire their guys up on offense and push the pace to keep the intensity high. In the end the Kings are playing very good basketball and I don’t see the Cavs having more than a few sparks to get their guys going and then flat lining out again. I don’t see a domination like game one but the Kings win this one too by 5+ points and I see it going over 191.5.
