Earlier this season these two teams meet up for a battle on the west coast, it was a close game as the Kings pulled between two points with 5 minutes left but their defense collapsed and the Grizzlies pulled away scoring 8 un-answered points and winning by 11 in the end. The Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is attracting more and more interest as trade times rolls around, he has always been a key trade option for the Kings but they have never really gotten what they want so he has stayed on the team for the last 2 season despite being in numerous trade options.
The Kings have been going through these growing pains for the last few years when they seem to have something that works they trade off their assets before they really give them a chance, they have been at the bottom of the League for a while now but they show improvement and this is the type of game they can really learn from. Moving the ball and looking for the post game to attack will be what’s required, the Grizzlies rebound well Sacramento needs to contest every shoot while boxing out on offense to get a second chance at missed opportunities.
Memphis got off to a hard start this season but seem to have found their way winning 8 of their last 10 games. They have slowed their pace down and really concentrated on making the right shoot while defending the half court situations. For this game they will need to be physical under the rim because the Kings have size to use. I like the Grizzlies because of their momentum coming into this game at home as well as their ability to create off the dribble and shoot the three ball.
