Nets Hopeful At Halfway Mark

NBA - Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets

Nets Hopeful At Halfway Mark

Brooklyn has really started to come back this season after a horrible start, they have really looked good on both sides of the ball and the chemistry factor has them shinning. The Bulls are trying to just stay afloat after injuries and the trade of Deng really set them back. this will be the second of three total games between the two teams with Chicago taking the first one, the Nets know that this is a great time to play the Bulls given the weakness in the east, this could very well give them the boost they need going into the all-star break to get some rest and come out in the second half of the season with a bang.

Brooklyn has really started to come back this season after a horrible start, they have really looked good on both sides of the ball and the chemistry factor has them shinning. The Bulls are trying to just stay afloat after injuries and the trade of Dang really set them back. this will be the second of three total games between the two teams with Chicago taking the first one, the Nets know that this is a great time to play the Bulls given the weakness in the east, this could very well give them the boost they need going into the all-star break to get some rest and come out in the second half of the season with a bang.

Good news for the veteran Brooklyn team is that they will all be getting a well deserved break, none of the older regular all-stars will have plans, aside from Joe Johnson. Knowing that they closed the last few weeks out on the winning side of things should help them push through the last 40 games of the season. I think that they will keep to what they have been perfecting, their defense, an aspect that has allowed them to really push the ball up the floor with their guards in transition as they lead the MNA in the last 3 weeks in steals per game.

Chicago seems to be running flat, they are not sure where they stand because of the injuries to Boozer and Rose. Dang is gone and they need their bench to step up, that is the area that is holding them down. You can see this teams frustration on the defensive end when they allow 20+ points coming from the paint. I expect this team to really be more aggressive under the rim on offense, looking for any boards they can muster, Noah has to be the main focus for them and he has to dominate the paint to help the Chicago team pull through.

I have the Brooklyn Nets winning this game by 7+ points based on their defensive stand, I also don’t see this game being a high scoring one so expect the total to stay under the 189 mark.
