NBA Picks Feb 27- March 5

My NBA betting picks this week tip-off onWednesday, March 1st when Cleveland travels to Boston to battle the Celtics in what could be a preview of the Eastern Conference Finals. Will it be LeBron and the Cavs or Isaiah and the Celtics to come out on top? Then, on Saturday, the L.A. Clippers travel to Chicago to battle the Bulls. Who takes home the win in ABC’s Saturday Night NBA Game? On Sunday, Oklahoma City takes on Dallas. Will Dallas’ defense find a way to contain the great Russell Westbrook?

NBA Picks Feb 27- March 5

Cleveland at Boston
When:  Wednesday, March 1 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: TD Garden, Boston, MA
TV: ESPN

Analysis: ESPN’s primetime game on Wednesday has Boston battling Cleveland. LeBron, Kyrie, Tristan Thompson, and Kyle Korver have held down the fort while both J.R. Smith and Kevin Love recover from injuries.

Cleveland had won 4 games in a row before LeBron took Saturday off due to illness. Even if LeBron isn’t available on Monday when the Cavs take on the Milwaukee Bucks, he’ll be available to take on the Celtics in the Garden on March 1.

Still, it’s hard for me to look past Boston winning this match up. The last time the Celtics played the Cavs, Kevin Love scored 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Love is out in Wednesday’s match up.

My money is on the Celtics to get the “W”.

Pick: Boston

L.A. Clippers at Chicago
When:  Saturday, March 4 at 8:30 pm ET
Where: United Center, Chicago, IL
TV: ABC

Analysis: Chicago versus the L.A. Clippers could be an exciting match up this Saturday. Chicago has won 4 games in a row, including 2 in a row since trading Taj Gibson. Chicago fans must love that Nikola Mirotic scored 14 points and grabbed 10 boards in less than 30 minutes versus Cleveland this past Saturday.

But, beating the Cavaliers without LeBron is much different than beating the Clippers at full strength. Since returning, Chris Paul hasn’t yet hit his stride. That should change this Saturday. Chicago doesn’t match up with a team as skilled as the Clippers.

I’m backing LAC.

Pick: L.A. Clippers

Oklahoma City at Dallas
When:  Sunday, March 5 at 8:30 pm ET
Where: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX
TV: ESPN

Analysis: Oklahoma City travels to Dallas to battle the new look Mavericks. The Mavs made one of the smartest trades of 2017 before the deadline. They acquired Nerlens Noel from Philadelphia. Noel has the skills to be a decent enforcer for Dallas. He concentrates on the defensive side of the court while pulling down both offensive and defensive boards.

Noel doesn’t start. But, what he can do is give Dirk Nowitzki breaks during a game. When Dirk is fresh in the 4th quarter, he’s still one of the deadliest close-out basketball players in the league.

I appreciate how good Oklahoma City is. I’m feeling good about how the Mavericks are coming together, though. With Noel holding the middle, and Dirk keeping his legs under him until the final quarter, I think the Mavs are worth a shot on the moneyline as a home dog.

Pick: Dallas moneyline
