NBA Playoff 1st Round Game 4 Free Picks

So far the most exciting thing to happen in the NBA playoffs is that Golden State has gone 1-1 after losing star Steph Curry to an ankle injury in game 1. The top teams in the playoffs have to bust through a few stinkers before they get to face each other in the next round. But even with that there can be some great value found in this weekend’s NBA first round playoff Game 4 bets using my free picks.

A Closer Look At My NBA Playoff 1st Round Game 4 Free Picks

The Pacers haven’t proven they can defend Raptor Kyle Lowry, who has scored 18 and 21 points in the last two games respectively. Indiana has no answer for the Raptors backcourt and my NBA game 4 pick is that the Pacers will lose their second playoff game in a row at home

Pick: Raptors.

What: NBA – First Round – Game 4
Who: Oklahoma City Thunder (2-1) at Dallas Mavericks (1-2)

Witk Dirk Nowitzki (knee) and Deron Williams (sports hernia, missed game 2) hurt I don’t expect the Mavs to keep pace with a talented Thunder team in a seven-game series.

“I felt like my knee buckled, so I was actually kind of glad he got there, because I probably would have got hung on the rim, to be honest,” Nowitzki said after the Thunder regained the series lead with a 131-102 rout of his Dallas Mavericks in Thursday’s Game 3 at the American Airlines Center. “I’m kind of glad he blocked it. But heck of a play on his part.”

Pick: Thunder.

What: NBA – First Round – Game 4
Who: San Antonio Spurs (2-0) at Memphis Grizzlies (0-2)
When: Sunday, April 24, 2016
Start Time: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Memphis, TN
Stadium: FedExForum
Spread: Spurs -13
Moneyline: San Antonio -1200 Vs Memphis +650
Game Total: 183

Listen: San Antonio vs Memphis

The Spurs are well on their way to knocking the Grizzlies out of the NBA playoffs following two lopsided wins by an average of 29 points in the first two games at home. While there is simply no denying San Antonio’s dominance, Memphis will still get an opportunity to put forth some more effort in front of its fans in Game 3 on Friday and Game 4 on Sunday.

Can the Grizzlies score more than the 74 points they totaled in Game 1 or play better defensively than they did in holding the Spurs to 94 points in Game 2? Or can they possibly do both to win a couple games at home?

Pick: Spurs.

What: NBA – First Round – Game 4
Who: Golden State Warriors (2-1) at Houston Rockets (1-2)
When: Sunday, April 24, 2016
Start Time: 3:30 PM ET
Where: Houston, TX
Stadium: Toyota Center
Spread: Warriors -8
Moneyline: Golden State -360 Vs Houston +300
Game Total: 217

Listen: Golden State vs Houston

The Golden State Warriors have proven that they can win without Steph Curry. Now the Houston Rockets have proven they can beat the defending champions when Curry is sidelined.

“His thought was that he would be OK,” Warriors coach Kerr said about Curry and his injured ankle. “We just felt a lot more comfortable putting him through a 3-on-3 tomorrow, probably a 5-on-5 on Saturday and really seeing if he’s OK or not.”

Pick: Warriors won’t lose two in a row.

What: NBA – First Round – Game 4
Who: Atlanta Hawks (2-0) at Boston Celtics (0-2)
When: Sunday, April 24, 2016
Start Time: 6:00 PM ET
Where: Boston, MA
Stadium: TD Garden
Spread: Celtics -1.5
Moneyline: Atlanta +105 Vs Boston -125
Game Total: 204.5
Watch: TNT

Listen: Atlanta vs Boston

The Celtics haven’t challenged the Hawks as expected, but can they turn things around in front of a home crowd? Disregarding a lethargic second half in Game 1, the Hawks have dominated to take a 2-0 series lead.

Injuries to Avery Bradley (hamstring) and center Kelly Olynk (shoulder) have exacerbated Boston’s offensive woes. Atlanta has done a great job of taking away driving lanes and forcing the Celts into contested perimeter shots.

Pick: The Hawks see blood in the water.

What: NBA – First Round – Game 4

Stadium: The Palace of Auburn Hills

Listen: Cleveland vs Detroit

Eighth-seeded Detroit has tested the veteran Cavaliers early in both games, grabbing first-half leads. In each game, the Cavs did not panic and went on impressive surges to overwhelm the Pistons.

One positive the Pistons can take away is they’ve controlled the interior. In the two games in Cleveland, Tristan Thompson and Timofey Mozgov totaled a combined two points and seven rebounds.

Pick: Cavs
