San Antonio Vs Golden State Game 2 Odds & PickNoah Williams
The Golden State Warriors escaped a huge upset in Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference finals after Spurs star Kahwi Leonard left the game with his 2nd rolled ankle. The Warriors outscored the Spurs 58-33 once Kawhi left the game in the 3rd quarter, winning the game by an 113-111 score.
After failing to cover the 10-point spread in Game 1, the NBA playoff betting odds favors the Warriors by 13-points. The Las Vegas oddsmakers opened the game at a 10-point spread, but with news that Leonard was downgraded to doubtful quickly pushed the spread up. Tip-off is this Tuesday, May 16th at 9:00 PM ET on ESPN from the ORACLE Arena, in Oakland, California.

Why Bet The San Antonio Spurs To Beat The Warriors
Game 1 proved the San Antonio Spurs has built a system that is greater than its parts. Unfortunately, the system couldn’t hold off the offense onslaught from the Warriors after its greatest cog was lost. Coach Greg Popovich and the Spurs were looking for a Game 1 upset directly in the face until SF Kahwi Leonard went down after landing on Warrior Zaza Pachulia’s foot. Leonard would make his free throws, but not return to the game.

Leonard finsihed the game with 26 points and eight rebounds. PF LaMarcus Aldridge exploded with 28 points and eight rebounds finshed the game cold going 11-24 from the field. Aldridge will have to shoulder the offense in Game 2.
Popovich was asked whether he thought Pachulia intended to injure Leonard.
“This is crap,” he replied. “And because [Pachulia] has got this history, it can’t be, ‘Oh this was inadvertent, he didn’t have intent.’
“Who gives a damn what his intent was? Have you ever heard of manslaughter? You still go to jail, I think, when you’re texting and you end up killing somebody, but may have not intended to do that. All I care is what I saw. All I care about is what happened. And the history there exasperates the whole situation and makes me very, very angry.”
Why Bet The Golden State Warriors To Beat The Spurs
Spurs Coach Greg Popovich has led a game by 25-points a total of 316 times and won every time until now. The Warriors took advantage of an untimely Spurs’ injury to steal back a win at home.
PG Steph Curry scored 40 points in Game 1. He shot 7-16 from three-point land and added seven rebounds. His 16 third-quarter points were the catalyst for the comeback. SF Kevin Durant quietly took care of business with 34 points.
The Warriors led the NBA in scoring during the regular season. They averaged 115.9 points per game in 82 regular season games. They haven’t slowed down during the playoffs, averaging 115.0 points per game in their nine postseason victories.
If You Still Can’t Decide Who To Bet On:
- Spurs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
- Spurs are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 Conference Finals games.
- Spurs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games.
- Warriors are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
- Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS loss.
- Warriors are 16-6-1 ATS in their last 23 games following a straight up win.
San Antonio Spurs Vs Golden State Warriors NBA Western Conference Finals Pick
Can the Spurs bring the Game 6 magic that elimated the Rockets back to battle the Warriors? That game also featured a sidelined Kahwi Leonard. I don’t think the Spurs can win, but they will cover the 13-point spread.
