Detroit Pistons vs. Indiana Pacers

Seems Like The Pistons Have Not Been Nice To Indiana

It is nothing but an advantage for the Pacers that they are playing this game at home, seems to me that the Pistons have not made things for Indiana easy this season. This is the fourth and final game and the Pacers have won two but the Pistons have a win and it took overtime in their last game with a last minute shot to seal the win for Indiana. The importance for the Pacers to win this game is almost stressful.

Detroit really has everything in their favor, they have beaten this team already and they already know that the post season is not in their future this year. That means they can relax and just play basketball without having to worry about anything. Josh Smith will try and take advantage of a mentally disconnected David West on both sides of the court in this game. I really expect the Pistons to make this another hard battled game that could actually push the Pacers to the edge and change everything if they are able to squeeze out a win.

Indiana must win this game, after suffering a 19 point blow out to the Cavaliers on Sunday night they are now only a game ahead of the Heat and ties in the loss column. That means one loss from Indiana and a win from Miami gives the Heat the best record and possibly home court advantage. The Pacers have had a terrible month so far, three losses by double digits and an overall lack of concentration that we have not seen from this team before. They have to get their heads back on straight and take one game at a time.

Pick: The Pacers are -8.5 in this one and I think that it will be a close one, even the Pacers come to play their hearts out the Pistons understand their style of game and counter it well. I like the Pacers to win the game but the Pistons will cover the +8.5.
