Still Two Games Below The Middle Mark For BrooklynTheDuck
Amazingly enough the Nets actually have the ability to still not only make the Playoffs but possibly even win the Atlantic division as they site in second place behind the Raptors only 4 games behind. Chicago understands that they really have no chance to win their division given that they are 12.5 games behind the best team in the NBA, the Pacers, but they find themselves six games above the even mark and currently ridding a three game winning streak as well as having beaten the Nets in their last two games.
Chicago has adapted very well to the lost of key players and it sees that they have really gone back to concentrating on their defense which allows them to open the floor and get more transition opportunities. They have not played particularly well on the road this season and this will be the last game against the Nets in the regular season so they know they will have a hard game ahead of them. With a win in this game they sweep Brooklyn as well as send them close to an even mark with their rival’s state team the Knicks, something that would make for an interesting spark to the New York rivalry.
It’s actually very easy for Brooklyn, they have to win this game and they cannot afford to get swept from an eastern conference team as well as lose any more games because their schedule only gets harder as the season wraps up. The Nets have shown better communication on defense but they need to continue to pass the ball on offense and try not to force their shoots, they fact that they have so many guys that expect a certain amount of shoots hurt them in the long run, selfishness could be the demise of this team.
The Bulls are -2.5 in this game because of their recent success as well as the Nets recent 30+ point blowout at home. The key matchup will be at center as Noah and Garnett do not like each other at all but I have Chicago because of Noah’s ability to score the ball and pull KG out of the middle.
