This will be the third of a four game season long series with Minnesota winning the first two games with relative ease. The Timberwolves are really feeling something right now, they are just 2 games below .500 and they are coming off a dominating performance against the best team in the League, Indiana. For the Jazz, things are not so colorful, they have lost key players to injury as well as have had problems controlling the ball. Their go to guy Hayward has gone cold in the last few games so really this is a momentum team against a team that is really desperate for a win.
Minnesota wants to make the post season not really because they have a thought they could actually win it all, something that just could not happened but because they want to attract the right kind of all-star to join Kevin Love in Minnesota this offseason to make sure Love doesn’t end up leaving the team as a free agent. They have the option to trade him if they think he might not stay and at least get something in return for him but simply playing like they did against Indiana will be more than enough.
Utah is exploring trade options with practically everyone on their roster, they don’t seem to have that one super star that they just won’t give up, in their case it´s all potential trade material. For the Jazz to have a chance in this game they have to keep the Timberwolves off the glass as well as out of the paint, let Love shoot his 3 pointers, he cannot make them all, but on offense they have to rotate the ball to make sure they get the highest quality shot possible. When it´s all said and done the Timberwolves will take this game by at least 6 points as they will go for the sweep later this year.
