It was back on October 30th of last year when the 76ers played host to the two time defending NBA champions Miami Heat, the 76ers had been ranked as one of the worst teams in the league to start the year and that night they handed the Heat their first loss of the new season, winning 114 to 110 at home. Now back in the same place the 76ers will try to repeat history although the Heat still remember that game and the unwanted press attention it got them.
Miami comes into this game looking a little off beat recently, they have struggled with their shooting and the injury bug has limited both James and Wade in their playing time. They are coming off an overtime loss to the Nets and a hard game in Cleveland but all that aside this game is different, the Heat will want to write this early season wrong by making a statement in the way they come out and play this game. This will be an inside game for the Heat as they look to establish Bosh early in the post and have him find his spots.
The 76ers have since that win somewhat fallen off the wagon, hitting every rock on the road with losses to bottom teams while really losing their offensive attack. Philadelphia knows they must play the hardest defense possible down low without fouling and take advantage of every opportunity to make a run in transition to get some easy points. Free throws will be key for this team as they can make it to the charity line but they need to convert in order for Miami to stop throwing bench players at them for fouls. I think Miami evens the global score series up at a game a piece winning this one by 8+ points.
