They’ve Been Close This SeasonTheDuck
The funny thing about this game is that even though it is so late in the season and both of these teams are playoff bound they will still have their starters on the court for this one. In the last three games the Pacers have won two with the middle game going to Toronto, the only one that was played in Canada. Given the way the Pacers have been playing and the fact that the Raptors have to prove themselves by evening up the overall series against Indiana, this will actually be one hell of a competitive game.
The Pacers have really seen the bottom of the barrel lately, this has been their worst playing month in their last three years by far ant the two time defending champion Miami Heat who were 5.5 games behind are now knocking on the door for the crucial home court advantage. The Pacers have to make a statement in this game against the leaders of the Atlantic division and get their game back on track. Protecting the ball and playing smart is the first step for this team.
Beating the Pacers and evening up the series would have more effect on this Raptors team than anything else, it would catapult their momentum heading into the closing month of the regular season while really showing them they have what it takes to make a deep run in the east this season. Toronto has to be on the mark though, they must play hard and attack the Pacers ruthlessly to make sure they are given the respect they deserve.
Pick: The Pacers are the favorites in this game that goes without saying but at +7.5 and given this last month for Indiana, I have to admit that I´m buying the Canadians team in this game to cover for sure.
