Odds are out for the contests for the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend. The NBA Three-Point Contest has become the most popular of any of the contests during All-Star Weekend.
The reason for its popularity is simple. When you have the Splash Brothers, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, taking part with the best three point shooters on the planet, interest is going to be high. Will the seemingly unflappable Steph Curry repeat as champ?

The NBA Three-Point Contest Betting Favorites
Steph Curry, Golden State, 9/4
The reigning MVP averages 4.9 three point makes per game from 10.8 attempts per. That’s 45.3%. Last season, I was against Curry in this contest. This season I’m backing him at any odds at even money or above.
Klay Thompson, Golden State, 7/2
The other Splash Brother also does well from a percentage stand point behind the three point line. Thompson averages 3.2 makes from 7.6 attempts per game. That’s 42%. Not bad, but probably not good enough to beat Curry.
JJ Reddick, Los Angeles Clippers, 5/1
Reddick might be the best choice to knock off one of the Splash Brothers. His percentage is comparable to Curry’s in that he hits 2.7 threes out of 5.6 per game. His percentage is a bit higher than Curry’s at 47.8%/ The problem is that he shoots less than 6 threes per game. With more shots, will Reddick’s percentage of makes go down?
The Other Guys:
Kyle Lowery, Toronto, 11/2
It’s always fun to root for the home town hero. But, Lowery only makes 2.8 per game from over 7 attempts. That won’t cut it against the Top 3.
Devin Booker, Phoenix, 11/2
Phoenix’s impressive rookie shoots 40.7% from the three point line. The Top 3 will have to fall apart for Booker to grab the trophy.
James Harden, Houston, 8/1
He’s shooting a less than stellar 35.7% from three. The odds need to be higher on Harden than 8/1 before pulling the trigger.
Khris Middleton, Milwaukee, 8/1
Middleton might be the underdog to back in this year’s three-point contest. His percentage from three isn’t badt, 40.6%. He’s a 6’ 8” guard. His feet barely leave the ground when he shoots. They don’t need to. If he can maintain his energy level throughout, he might pull off the upset.
Chris Bosh, Miami, 12/1
Like Middleton, Bosh isn’t likely to expend as much energy as the smaller men in this contest. Unlike Middleton, Bosh only shoots 36.5% from three. He’d be a surprise.
2016 NBA All Star Three-Point Contest Pick:
The odds are Steph Curry walks away a winner in this one, but if you are willing to take a chance Khris Middleton at 8/1 could be a surprise payout.
