As the Raptors take their talents to Philly, they will meet up with a much younger and faster 76ers team hungry to prove the world wrong about their ability to win games. Toronto has made important steps toward become a talked about team in this League with big names but they need wins in order for everything to come full circle, something they have trouble producing. Philly has the talent but is missing that veteran that can speak and have everyone listen, someone to guide them in close games on really what to do.
Rudy Gay is the force behind this Raptors team as they push forward with what seems like baby steps in their efforts to really get this team on the rise. They have struggled with attendance as well as overall victories, now missing the post season for their 10 consecutive seasons. They do not have that big market to attack the Melo´s or the Chris Paul’s but they have the middle guys that just need to understand their role and push harder.
Philadelphia started off red hot, now things have changed and their defense has gone down, they seem to be hovering in their game as each and every night looks the same, the run in transition and shoot in all other circumstances. Their lack of running set offensive plays seems to not help the younger guys find their way, especially when they have the all start defense on them.
What to Expect:
I think that the 76ers are really going to look for their fast moving offense but I also see them forcing the shoot because of the Raptors interior defense that has blocking ability as well as taking charges. I like the Raptors to travel to Philly in this one and steal a game that they will more than likely be the dog.
