Cleveland swept the Atlanta Hawks in 4 games in Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs. The Cavaliers haven’t played a basketball game since May 8. It took 7 games for the Toronto Raptors to end the Miami Heat in Round 2. Toronto had to beat Miami in 2 out of the final 3 games in order to march on to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Toronto hasn’t been covering spreads since the playoffs started. The Raptors are 3 and 7 ATS in their last 10 games. They did cover in their last game, a 116 to 89 win over Miami as a 4.5 point favorite. Cleveland is 8 and 0 straight up in the playoffs and 5 and 3 ATS.

Why Bet The Toronto Raptors to Win The Eastern Conference Because…
Toronto went 2 and 1 straight up versus the Cavaliers this season. All 3 games occurred before March. But the Raptors played well in 2 of the games. They beat Cleveland 103 to 99 on Nov. 22, 2015. They took down the Cavs 99 to 97 on Feb. 26. In both games, the Raptors shot well and played very good defense. What it proves is that Toronto won’t be intimidated.
Why Bet The Cleveland Cavaliers to Win The Eastern Conference Because…
The Cavaliers are on a mission. Cleveland is the only team left in the playoffs that hasn’t lost. Even Golden State has lost a game during the playoffs. Cleveland finds ways to win. The Cavs beat Atlanta 104 to 93 on May 2. Then, on May 8, they took Atlanta down 100 to 99. If the threes aren’t dropping, the Cavs look to penetrate and get to the rim. In every game versus the Hawks the Cavs played great defense.
NBA Playoff Eastern Conference Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
Toronto doesn’t appear good enough to beat the Cavaliers in a 7-game series. The Raptors will be without big man Jonas Valanciunas. Although the Cavs don’t lean on their center, they’ll have a huge advantage inside in this game.
Power forward Kevin Love is averaging a double-double in rebounds and points per game. He’s been unstoppable on the boards. Tristan Thompson and LeBron James are also big enough to grab rebounds by boxing out as well as taking their man on the blocks for easy scores at the rim.
Toronto will have a slight at the guard positions with Kyle Lowry and DeMar Derozan. Both guys can light it up. But both guys are also streaky shooters. Toronto is playing well enough to win a game. That’s all I see the Raptors doing, though. I like the Cavaliers in 5.
