Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers finishes off a dunk

Two Of The Hottest Teams In The NBA Collide

The AT&T Center will play host to one of the best games of the evening as two of the League’s top teams do battle for the second time this season. The Trail Blazers come into this game with their attention on high alert; they have really started to make a name for themselves after drafting last year’s rookie of the year in point guard Damien Lillard while the Spurs have been on top for the last few seasons, waiting for someone from the west to really make things interesting.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. San Antonio Spurs
The Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs go head to head in the headline game Friday night.
Starts: 01/17/2014 8:30PM
AT&T Center, One AT&T Center,
San Antonio, Texas

Portland has been known in recent history to start off on the right foot only to fall off the horse around mid season and missing the playoff completely, that’s how it has been the last 4 years. This year however I see a different drive in their game, they look hungry and determined to succeed in their goals. They opened the season with a monster win over the Spurs on their home floor and now a second win would just solidify the great play that are brining to the court. Consistencies on both ends of the court with good ball protection are the two main factors for this team to get this win.

San Antonio has the experience to know that an early loss to any team is not that big of a deal but they have to come out swinging in this game to prove not only to the west but to themselves that they have what it takes to overcome these new, young gun teams that are popping up left and right. Parker and Duncan are a must in this game for them to have a chance, outside shooting and man coverage will also help them keep the game even and balanced as they try to even out the score.

I am actually going with the young Trail Blazers in this game because of their ability to play the ball and defend the rim, this will not be an easy game and I see numerous led changes but in the end Portland takes this game but a bucket.
