This game plays very little into what is going on for both of these teams, a win or a loss for the Pelicans at this point will not make or break them especially if it´s against the Nuggets. Denver is also thinking long term and I doubt they are in the position of placing their starters out in a game that has no real meaning. Expect a good showing for the starters in the first half with very little action in the second half of this game.
Denver Nuggets vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Denver is coming off a difficult road trip against mediocre teams where they had to push it till the end. This one is the final road game before they go back home so a little early rest is in store for a few guys. I think that the Nuggets plan on going deep into their bench in this game to make sure that everyone is on the same page as the season is pretty much wrapped up. This team has been devastated by injury and it was just too much to overcome.
The Pelicans will come into this game with the same amount of intensity as they have all their previous games since the all-star break. It is painfully obvious that this team lacks veteran leadership to control the offense in close situations. Davis and Gordon will have to come up big yet again against the Nugget´s secondary as the only way they will get direct results is playing the ball to the inside and moving it from there.
Denver is -2.5 in this game and as deep as they are going to go in their bench I still see this one heading in the Nuggets direction for the win. The Pelicans are healthy and are playing at home so I like the dog to lose this game but cover 5 points.
