Updated Odds To Win The NBA Championship

Updated Odds To Win The 2015 NBA Championship

The 2015 NBA playoff betting odds took a major turn on Sunday when the Cleveland Cavs’ all-star power-forward Kevin Love left early in Game 4 against Boston Celtics with a shoulder injury. The forward is expected to miss at least two weeks with a dislocated shoulder, making the Golden State Warriors the betting odds on favorite to win the 2015 NBA Championship.

Cleveland remains the odds on favorite to represent the Association from the Eastern Conference, but they don’t have the best odds to win the championship, which they did since re-signing LeBron and trading for Love. Throw in JR Smith’s 2-game suspension for taking out Celtics forward Jae Crowder with a forearm and the Cavs could be in for a second-round exit this year if they are not careful.

The Cavs should jump to the top of the betting odds list as favorites again if Love returns and can prove he is healthy, but can Cleveland survive long enough for Love to get healthy?

What Are The Updated Odds To Win The NBA Championship

Golden State Warriors 7-4

The Warriors are only 2 and 8 ATS in their last 10, but who cares when it comes to backing these guys for the NBA Championship?  The odds on Golden State to win it all make them an overlay. They proved their mettle by coming back from 20 down to beat New Orleans in Game 3 of that series.

Cleveland Cavs 9-4

Even though it looked like Boston played well in every game, the fact is that the Cavs went 3 and 1 against the spread versus the Celtics in their first round series playoff win. That bodes well for Cleveland. What doesn’t bode well is Kevin Love’s injury.

San Antonio Spurs 6-1

Flashes of brilliance won’t win you an NBA Championship. That’s exactly what the Spurs have shown so far in their series versus the L.A. Clippers, flashes of brilliance followed by a dud.

Chicago Bulls 9-1

So, after 3 straight victories in their first round matchup with Milwaukee, the Bulls lose 2 straight?  That’s not good. Then again, it’s difficult to imagine that the Bucks will beat the Bulls in 3 straight, which means that Chicago should march into Round 2. The anticipated battle between Rose and LeBron will take place and we’ll all get to see who comes up big for their team.

Atlanta Hawks 12-1

We can write the same thing about the Hawks. They’re in a battle with Brooklyn to simply get out of the first round. They should win the series, but it’s not looking good for the Hawks when they battle Chicago or Cleveland. Oh, and Washington, their Round 2 opponent looked tough when smacking down the Raptors.

Los Angeles Clippers 12-1

If they can beat San Antonio in Round 1, which is a possibility, they have the best chance of beating Golden State in the Western Conference. The Clippers match up well with the Warriors and the Rockets. Griffin and Paul refuse to let this team lose.

Houston Rockets 14-1

With James Harden, the Rockets can pretty much beat anybody in the NBA. They’ll have a tough time with either San Antonio or the L.A. Clippers in Round 2, but if they get past that opponent, they’ll put a scare into Golden State.

The Others

  • Memphis Grizzlies 16/1
  • Washington Wizards 28/1
  • Dallas Mavericks 300/1
  • Portland Trail Blazers 500/1
  • Brooklyn Nets 500/1
  • Milwaukee Bucks 1000/1
