Warriors Vs Cavs Odds & PickJosh Bailey
Don’t even think about buying these 2 teams downplaying how HUGE this NBA Finals rematch is with the Golden State Warriors traveling to the hosting NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day. You read that right! This game is on December 25th, 2016 with a tip-off at 2:30 pm ET, and it is in the Champ Lebron’s backyard at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Golden State comes into Cleveland at 25-4, but they are not as dominating against the spread at 15-14 so far. The Cavaliers are 20-6 but have an even worse record ATS at 10-14-2 this year.
Golden State and Cleveland Odds & Pick
At the time of this writing, the NBA betting line had not come out but I expect Golden State Warriors to be a small betting favorite. Last year Cleveland lost but made it up and then some by taking the NBA Championship from the Warriors.
Bet On The Golden State Warriors Because…
Kevin Durant joined a team that won the NBA Championship 2 years ago and became runner-up last year. They set a new NBA record by winning 73 games in the regular season and were up 3-1 to the Cavs before Lebron and co. ripped that Championship out of their hands. REVENGE is on the mind of all of them.
Stephen Curry hasn’t even been pushed this week with easy wins and should come in to pick up any slack that may be because Lebron limits Durant shooting. Draymond Green just started lighting it up also with 2 double-doubles in a row and upped his shooting from the field to over 50 percent on Tuesday after shooting in the 20s the 3 previous games.
Bet On The Cleveland Cavaliers Because…
Don’t believe the HYPE. Everybody knows Kevin Durant was added as another super weapon on the Warriors, but why would that mean Lebron’s dominance of Durant one-on-one would change. Durant is leading Golden State in points per game, FG percentage, and blocks, so if Lebron does his job, Golden State goes down.
The Cavs get to sit in their warm houses, open presents and then pop up to the game while the Warriors are far from home, freezing and hungry. Who do you think wins this? Cavaliers defense is what does it.
Warriors Vs Cavs
Neither of these teams is particularly great on defense, and I expect this to be a great offensive game. Kevin Love has been out a couple games before this, but I would expect him to be back with a knee less than 100% on Christmas Day.
Golden State is shooting maybe better than any team has ever now with Durant. They are shooting nearly 40% from beyond the arc and 50% FG this year and literally blowing the doors out. They keep beating teams by 30 or more points giving Curry plenty of rest coming into this game of redemption and will win this easily.
I think Golden State comes in healthy, rested and motivated because this game DOES matter!!
