2018 March Madness Round of 64 Parlay Picks

2-Team Parlay Picks March Madness Round of 64

  • Butler Bulldogs
  • Duke Blue Devils

No. 10 Butler (20-13) vs. No. 7 Arkansas (23-11)
When: Friday, March 16 at 3:10 PM ET
Where: Little Caesars Arena – Detroit, MI – Game
Spread: Butler -1.5
Stream: CBS Sports

No. 10 Butler has lost three of its last four, so you’d think that Arkansas, being the higher seed in this affair, would be favored, but that’s clearly not the case – and I believe there’s a reason for that. Arkansas has the slight edge in scoring while Butler is the slightly better defensive team. For me though, it’s the fact that the Razorbacks don’t really have a signature win over an elite opponent (plus their completely embarrassing 91-65 loss to Houston in December) while Butler can lay claim to beating arguably the best team in the country (Villanova, 101-93).

Butler is an insane 20-5-2 ATS in their last 27 NCAA Tournament games and blistering 40-16-2 ATS in their last 58 neutral site games while Arkansas has gone 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight-up loss and just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 vs. Big East teams. Butler wins outright as the lower seed.

Pick: Butler -1.5

No. 2 Duke (26-7) vs. No. 15 Iona (20-13)
When: Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:45 PM ET
Where: PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Spread: Duke -20
Stream: CBS Sports

No. 2 Duke has lost two of its last four games and comes into the NCAA Tournament off an uninspiring 74-69 loss to North Carolina in the ACC Tournament. Conversely, No. 15 Iona a is red-hot, having won three straight games including its 83-71 win over Fairfield in its MAAC championship clash this past weekend, but really, the Gael will be no match for a Blue Devils team that is ticked off and will be re-focused after falling to the Tar Heels for the second time this season.

Duke is statistically better at both ends of the floor and has one of the greatest head coaches in college basketball history calling the shots. Iona is an awful 7-20 ATS in their last 27 games following an ATS win, 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an SU win and 0-5 ATS in their last five NCAA Tournament games. Duke has rebounded very well from a straight-up loss by going 6-1 ATS in their last seven such instances while also going 9-3 ATS in their last dozen neutral site games. I’m thinking the Blue Devils have this game well in hand by the time halftime rolls around, even though I’m not really fond of the 20-point spread.

Pick: Duke -20

3-Team Parlay Picks March Madness Round of 64

  • Butler Bulldogs
  • Duke Blue Devils
  • Michigan Wolverines

No. 3 Michigan (28-7) vs. No. 14 Montana (26-7)
When: Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 9:50 PM ET
Where: Intrust Bank Arena, Wichita, Kansas
Spread: Michigan Wolverines -12
Stream: CBS Sports

Montana has had a fantastic season and enters the NCAA Tournament on a nice roll, having won six straight games including its 82-65 smackdown of Eastern Washington in its Big Sky Conference championship this past weekend. it’s unfortunate though that the Grizzlies are facing a Michigan team that is absolutely on fire and playing as well as any team in the country right now. The Wolverines have won nine straight games and recorded back-to-back wins over No. 1 seed Michigan State and No. 2 seed Purdue to claim the Big Ten Conference championship this past weekend.

Michigan’s defense has been absolutely phenomenal in limiting each of their last three opponents to 66 points or less while allowing just two of their last 10 opponents to get into the 70s. Montana is 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following an SU win and 1-5 ATS in their last six neutral site games. Michigan has gone 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight-up win and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. The Wolverines win and cover the chalk!

Pick: Michigan -12
