Championship Week College Basketball Games to Bet Before Selection Sunday

With less than a week left before Selection Sunday, I am going to make a few Championship Week NCAA Men’s basketball bold betting predictions before college basketball’s best collide in this years March Madness tourney.

The Top College Basketball Games to Bet On During Championship Week & Before Selection Sunday

Pittsburgh vs. NC State
When:  Tuesday, March 10th

Both Pittsburgh and NC State need to show up big in the ACC Tournament or they can kiss bids to the NCAA Tournament bye. It doesn’t seem fair since NC State has beaten North Carolina, Louisville and Duke this season. The Wolfpack is 5 and 1 ATS in their last 6 games. They represent the “hot hand” going into the ACC tourney.

Pittsburgh has gone 1 and 5 ATS in their last 6 matchups. The Panthers are looking okay, not great, just okay, but they know that they need to get to at least the semifinals in order to make any case for an NCAA Tournament bid. If Pittsburgh doesn’t surprise, and it starts with a victory over NC State on Tuesday, they’ll be watching from home after this week.

No. 20 West Virginia vs. No. 14 Baylor
When:  Wednesday, March 11th

Both teams appear to be playing for higher seeds in the NCAA Tournament although you never know what can happen once it ends up in the Selection Committee’s hands. West Virginia has been absolutely awesome lately when going 5 and 1 against the spread in their last 6 games. Then again, the Mountaineers lone loss ATS was to Baylor on the road, a 66 to 78 Bears’ thumping.

For Baylor, the 4 and 1 ATS record in their last 5 has been tarnished some since the lone loss ATS was to Big 12 cellar-dweller Texas Tech. The Bears beat the Red Raiders by only 3 points, 77 to 74 as a -15.5 point home favorite. Could that be a sign that the Bears are vulnerable in Wednesday’s matchup?

Oklahoma State vs. No. 15 Oklahoma
When: Saturday, March 14th

Oklahoma State needs to come up huge in the Big 12 Conference Tournament in order to secure a position in the NCAA Tournament. After a 74 to 65 win over Baylor in early February, the Cowboys were ranked. Since then, the ‘Boys have gone 1 and 5 straight up and against the spread.

Oklahoma beat Kansas 75 to 73 on March 7. They punched their ticket with that win, no doubt. But, the Sooners will be looking for a Top 3 seed, which means they need to do some damage in the Big 12 Conference tourney. It starts by putting the beat down on the interstate rival Cowboys on Saturday.

Harvard vs. Yale
When: Saturday, March 15th

Yale really blew it on March 7 when losing at the buzzer to Dartmouth. The Bulldogs had the Ivy League sewn up. All they had to do was beat Dartmouth, a team that they handled 81 to 66 in early February.

Yale faces their top rival, Harvard, on Saturday in an elimination game. Yale appears to have the upper hand since they beat their rival by 10 points, 62 to 52, in the last matchup. But Harvard may not let the chance slip away. This is going to be a fun matchup on Saturday.
