NCAAB Florida Gators

The Gators Move Into The Top Spot

No one is happier in the college basketball world then the Florida Gators who moved into the first overall spot in the Nation thanks to a great win by Boston College. The Gators have had their share of luck but they have also shown their endurance, they have had to dig deep at times to pull through some tight games and they have prevailed. The Rebels are the next team in line with an opportunity to play the best team in the country, they are not to be taken lightly because they have the ability to run the floor and spread the offense to get them to their hot spots.

NCAAB (1) Florida Gators vs. Mississippi Rebels
The Florida Gators take on the Mississippi Rebels in a SEC College Basketball matchup this Saturday.
Starts: 02/22/2014 12:00PM
Tad Smith Coliseum, University of Mississippi
Oxford, Mississippi

Florida is the type of team that runs on energy and they need everyone on their roster to contribute, when they get out of the gates a little slow you can see that this team really rallies around one another to pick things up. Their front court has a great ability to defend the painted area, they get to the right spots and really play man to man defense without having to worry about the double team.

Mississippi comes into this game unranked, they have not had the season they expected but they still find themselves six games over .500, this is an SEC conference game and these two teams play each other twice a year, they know each other well and they will really try and frustrate one another from the half court line in. Look for the Gators to really have to be on their top game shooting wise because the Rebels will not give them too many open looks at the rim in this game. In the end the Gators with win this game and I see it being a blow out late in the fourth, I expect at least a 13+ point victory.
