Kentucky Will Cover the Spread If

The Wildcats continue to dominate on both ends of the court.

The light switch has been turned on at Kentucky. Early this season, Kentucky was having issues covering spreads. Not anymore. The Wildcats have gone 4-0-1 against the spread in their last 5 games.
Every game in which Kentucky has covered, they’ve faced a double-digit spread.

Versus South Carolina, Kentucky covered a -18.5 point spread in a 77 to 43 victory.

Versus Tennessee, the Wildcats covered a -13.5 point spread in a 66 to 48 win.

Against Auburn, Kentucky covered a massive -25 point spread in a 110 to 75 win.

The Wildcats pushed against Mississippi State when only beating the Bulldogs by 18 points in a 74 to 56 victory.

They came back and pummeled Arkansas 84 to 67 to cover a -15.5 point spread. The Wildcats are dominating on both ends of the court.

They’ll cover another massive spread versus Georgia if they continue playing the way that they have been playing.

Georgia Will Cover the Spread If

The Bulldogs can slow down Kentucky’s offense.

Georgia lost by only 11 points in the last matchup, a 69 to 58 Kentucky victory on Feb. 3. The Bulldogs did a good job at holding Kentucky to only 45.5% from the field in a 25 out of 55 performance.

The Bulldogs were even better at holding the Wildcats to less than 32% from the field from behind the three-point line. If Georgia can play solid defense again, they should be able to cover the spread in this game. It could be difficult for the Bulldogs to accomplish that, however.

Kentucky’s shooting percentage from the field is now at 47%. Georgia’s defense allows only 38% from the field, but Georgia only shoots 43.4%. Kentucky has started to get very good at turning missed shots into buckets on the other end. If the Bulldogs are too late at getting back on defense, they’re going to have an extremely difficult time keeping the Wildcats from running up the score.

Final Score Prediction – Kentucky Wildcats 72, Georgia Bulldogs 50
