March Madness 2nd Round 3-Team Parlay Play

If you’re looking for March Madness ballclubs that re offering a ton of value in their respective second round NAA Tournament matchups and you love stringing bets together as part of a potentially bankroll-boosting parlay, then you’re in luck.

I’ve got a trio of second-round March Madness picks that are all offering a ton of value. Now, let’s find out where that value lies.

March Madness 2nd Round 3-Team Parlay Play

No. 8 Northwestern (24-11) vs. No. 1 Gonzaga Bulldogs (33-1)
When: Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 5:15 PM ET
Where: Vivint Smart Home Arena, Salt Lake City, Utah
TV: CBS
Odds: Gonzaga -10.5
Over/Under: 136

Analysis: Northwestern has been one of the best feel-good stories of the 2016-17 college basketball season, but the Wildcats will see their postseason party come to a crashing end against the clearly superior Gonzaga Bulldogs in this matchup. The top-seed Dogs average 13.0 points per game more than the Wildcats while allowing five fewer points per game defensively.

Gonzaga has gone 5-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games and 20-5-1 ATS in their last 26 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. While Northwestern has gone 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games the Wildcats are also just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win. Gonzaga wins and covers the spread as a double-digit favorite,

Pick: Gonzaga 77 Northwestern 65

No. 11 Xavier (22-13) vs. No. 3 Florida State (26-8)
When: Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 6:10 PM ET
Where: Amway Center, Orlando, Florida
TV: TNT
Odds: Florida State -6
Over/Under: 151

Analysis: While both teams in this matchup allow just over 71.0 points per game defensively, Florida State is far more explosive offensively as they average almost eight points per game more than Xavier.
While the Musketeers have gone 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games and a bankroll-boosting 16-5 ATS in their last 21 neutral site games, I like Florida State to get the win and ATS cover despite the fact that the Seminoles are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite and 64 percent of the betting public likes Xavier to cover.

Xavier is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games as an underdog and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and the Musketeers just don’t have enough quality scorers to keep pace with the explosive Noles.

Pick: Florida State 80 Xavier 73

No. 5 Virginia (23-10) vs. No. 4 Florida (25-8)
When: Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 8:40 PM ET
Where: Amway Center, Orlando, Florida
TV: TNT
Odds: Florida -1.5

Analysis: I like the Virginia Cavaliers a lot, but not enough to go along with the 48 percent of public bettors that like them to cover the spread in this matchup.

Virginia is 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games, but the Cavs are also just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games against a team with a winning straight up record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss.

On the flip side of the coin, Florida is a perfect 4-0 ATS in their last four non-conference games, 5-1 ATS in their last six games as a favorite and a blistering 22-8 ATS in their last 30 games as a favorite.

Both of these teams have outstanding defense, but Virginia really struggles to score the ball and that will be the difference in this matchup.

Pick: Florida 71 Virginia 66
