The 16th-ranked Maryland Terrapins jumped a whopping three spots in the AP Top 25 after wins over Indiana and Penn State and today they face the Nebraska Cornhuskers who entered the season with high expectations but now sit at 13-12.
While Maryland still has a shot at the top-seed come Selection Sunday, the only way Nebraska can make it to the big dance is if they win the BIG 10. The Terrapins are 9-4 against Big Ten opponents this season and the Cornhuskers 5-8.
These two teams face off Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7 PM ET on the Big Ten Network. The Terps are 8 point home favorites.

The schedulemakers did Maryland a favor as the Terrapins’ next three late season tilts are at home, where they’re 15-1 and a strong home stretch will solidify a top seed for head-coach Mark Turgeon’s squad. After hosting struggling Nebraska on tonight, Maryland faces the mighty fifth-ranked Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday before wrapping up the rare homestand against the always fiesty Michigan Spartans on Feb. 28.
"It’s weird having three in a row at home. It doesn’t happen very often," said Wednesday.
Nebraska has lost five of six and if Maryland doesn’t overlook the Cornhuskers after winning its last three home games by a combined nine points they could close the game out early.
"We’re worried about Nebraska and getting ready for them," Turgeon said. "Hopefully play well and go from there."
