Bet Rhode Island +1 Because…
The Rams have won 8 straight games. Rhode Island is one of the hottest teams in the nation going into the NCAA Tournament. Not only did the Rams win 8 straight games, but they also covered the spread in 6 out of the 8 games. Rhode Island is so hot that 60% of college hoops handicappers are backing the Rams at +1 against Creighton.
Bet Creighton -1 Because…
Creighton plays in the much better conference. You can’t compare the Atlantic 10, where Rhode Island plays, to the Big East. VCU and Dayton are decent teams. Both garnered bids to the NCAA Tournament. But, Villanova is a great team while Seton Hall, Xavier, and Butler are all good teams.
Rhode Island Rams Vs Creighton Bluejays Pick & Final Score Prediction
Creighton may play in the much better conference, but they don’t go into their battle versus Rhode Island with a lot of advantages. The Blue Jays lost 60 to 74 to Villanova in the Big East Championship. Creighton just couldn’t keep up with Nova.
The opposite could happen versus Rhode Island. Creighton averages 82 points a game. What’s going to happen when they battle a squad that averages only 73 points per while holding opponents to 65 per?
This should be a close battle. But, my gut tells me that Rhode Island takes it. I think the Rams’ style wins out over Creighton, who allowed Villanova to slow it down while converting on their end versus the Blue Jays in the Big East Tournament.
If I’m right, Rhode Island wins a close one.
