San Diego State Has Their Eyes Wide Open This Season…

The Aztecs have been a roll this season with only one loss on their record and ranked 5 th in the Nation, this team knows that they have a hard road ahead of them but they have come together after a hard season last year to not only get invited to the madness but create fear for the teams that will have to play them. The Cowboys know how well this team pushes the ball in transition and just how well the pass it, their main focus will be on perimeter defense and trying to hold the Aztecs out of the middle of the floor.

College Basetkball – (5) San Diego State Aztecs vs. Wyoming Cowboys
The (5) San Diego State Aztecs and the Wyoming Cowboys go head to head this Tuesday on ESPNU
Starts: 02/11/2014 11:00PM
Arena-Auditorium, University of Wyoming
Laramie, Wyoming

San Diego State has shown great interior defense, they have their own version of the twin towers to really prevent a clear path to the rim, they have also excelled in pivot defense and trapping on the perimeter leading to turnovers. The Aztecs have protected the ball and lead their conference in turnover to points ratio. In this game I expect them to attack their defender, pushing the ball inside and playing off the glass. They have the ability to get the rebound, so soft touches will be important on offense.

Wyoming have found themselves yet again in a the middle of the pack, they have a 14-9 overall record but they have shown issues in their defense and ball handling, they have turned the basketball over 12 times in each of their last 4 games, allowing over 70 points in each of those games. This is like shooting yourself in the foot especially when they score on average just over 62 points a game. The Cowboys need to pick up the intensity and feed of their fans for this one, they have the ability to keep this one close but they need to make the right choices on offense. I have the Aztecs winning this game by 14+ points and the total going over 182.
