SMU and Memphis met on January 8 with a smashing win 73-59 at the Moody Coliseum, in Dallas, Texas, covering a 10-point spread as favorites. Markus Kennedy scored 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting; Yanick Moreira had 15 points, and Ben Moore and Keith Frazier each added 12 points for the Mustangs win.
