Not only did Arizona make the number one seed in the tournament but their first round win over Weber State was very convincing, talk about coming in with momentum. Gonzaga was selected as one of the middle teams to make the tournament and only because of their conference record. In reality just a few teams from the WCC conference has ever made it in this tournament and I really do not see the Bulldogs surprising anyone this year.
(8) Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. (1) Arizona Wildcats

Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl, San Diego, California
The Gonzaga Bulldogs did end their season 29 and 6 but didn’t really play too many high end teams. This game will be the hardest game of these players young careers, almost like David and Goliath only the ending is a little different. The Bulldogs must stop Arizona from shooting the ball, they need to figure out a zone defense that allows them to move fast enough to stay with the ball. They must protect the ball on offense, I expect their opponent to really press their defense so Gonzaga will have to take their time and really rotate the ball.
Arizona picked things up to close the season off, earning a difficult top seed, this team is capable of getting red hot from beyond the arc very fast but they also have a decent inside game that draws their defense out because they can hit the open 10 footer. This Wildcats team is like a dragon with multiple heads in comparison to what they can do on the hardwood. Their defense will be rarely challenged but I can see them wanting to get a head start in the scoring department to get some rest for their starters.
Pick: Arizona will take this game with relative ease as well as cover the -10.5 mark.
