Wisconsin Still Has Something To Prove

Personally I’m looking forward to this game because I think it will be a great show of complete defense against great rotating offense. Michigan has lost 4 games to ranked opponents and that dropped them out of the top 25 but they are unbeaten in Big Ten play, as for Wisconsin, they are the only top 5 team that has a loss on their record and the Wolverines want to prove that they are over rated and do not deserve that rank.

Michigan Wolverines vs. (3) Wisconsin Badgers
The Michigan Wolverines take on the (3) Wisconsin Badgers in a Big Ten matcnup live on ESPN.
Starts: 01/18/2014 6:00PM
Kohl Center, 601 West Dayton St.
Madison, Wisconsin

Michigan will come into this game with a very clear game plan, trap the ball and use help defense down low to force the Badgers to shoot. Their offense will consist of running the floor and pulling the defenders out of the paint with cuts and kick outs to the guards. The Wolverines know that the Badgers are a little undersized under the rim so I think attacking it will help get them some foul calls early and could change the course of the game.

Wisconsin has the bulls-eye on their back right now because they are so highly ranked yet still beatable. This team needs to really stick to what has brought them success, slowing the pace of the game down, setting up their offensive sets and making sure that on defense they play the ball instead of the pass. This will be a hard game because neither team wants to lose but especially in conference play, as the big dance rolls closer teams are going to start going out on limbs to surprise one another. I actually like Michigan to win this game on the road or at the very least keep it so close that it comes down to a final shoot.
