Air Force Vs MSU Betting Line, Final Score Prediction & TV InfoJosh Bailey
The No. 4 Michigan State Spartans must guard against an upset when they face the visiting 26.5-point underdog Air Force Falcons and their unconventional offense. Thanks to the triple-option attach, the Falcons are owners of the nation’s second-best rushing offense at 411.0 yards per game.

“They present a lot of problems in terms of discipline, who has who on the option, things of that nature,” Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio said. “I think it’s a tough draw because it’s something we’ve not experienced. We’ve played option football before but not to this level.”
The game kicks off this Saturday, Sept 19th at noon ET on ABC. You can stream the game live via Watch ESPN.

Why Bet On Air Force to Beat 4 Michigan State (-26.5)
Air Force’s rushing attack could keep Michigan State on its heels.
First, Michigan State might suffer a letdown after beating Oregon at home last week. The Spartans had the game in their grasps in 2014 only to fail in the second half. Versus Oregon this time around, Michigan State kept at it. Although the Spartans were favored, many felt that MSU would lose again to Oregon.
It was a huge victory for the program. MSU could definitely suffer a letdown versus Air Force. This is particularly true because even though the Spartans are very good versus the run, they haven’t faced a rushing team quite like Air Force yet. Oregon managed to rush for 123 yards against the Spartans. They probably should have run the ball more.

Air Force isn’t going to do anything but rush the football. The Falcons are averaging 411 yards per game on the ground. They only average 482.5 yards per game, meaning that the Falcons are going to try and run the ball no matter what Michigan State does on defense. Air Force rushed for 394 yards versus Morgan State in Week 1 and 428 yards versus San Jose State in Week 2. If they can run against Michigan State, they’ll be tough this Saturday.
Why Bet On 4 Michigan State (-26.5) to Beat Air Force
Michigan State’s offense is incredibly balanced.
Michigan State’s defense is very good. Based on stats, it doesn’t look like it is, but it is. The defense held Oregon to under 30 points in a 31 to 28 victory in Week 2. It held the Ducks to less than their averages in every important offensive statistical category.

But if Michigan State is going to win and cover the spread in their game versus Air Force on Saturday, the Spartans are going to have to be as balanced on offense as they have been so far this season. Michigan State needs to control the time of possession. That means that MSU will have to run the football. The Spartans average 420.5 yards per game. Connor Cook throws for 224 yards per game. The Spartans rush for 196.5 yards per game.
Versus the Ducks, the Spartans racked up 389 total yards. That’s fewer yards than what Oregon acquired, but Michigan State did it via the run and the pass. MSU rushed for 197 yards. They passed for 192.
If Michigan State can find balance again on offense, they should be able to beat Air Force. Covering the spread might be difficult for the Spartans. I am picking Air Force as the smart bet to cover the gargantuan 26.5-point spread as underdogs. My final score predictions is Michigan State 37, Air Force 23
