LSU is at 6-3 straight up and 4-4 against the spread. Arkansas is 2-6 against the spread and 4-5 straight up so far this season.
Arkansas Razorbacks at LSU Tigers Spread & ATS Pick
The Week 11 college football spread opened with LSU favored by 18-points over Arkansas. Early betting has since pushed the spread down to 16.5-points. The 58-point total has dipped down as far as 55 and now is 56-points.
Bet on Arkansas +16.5 because…
Arkansas brings its A-game when facing LSU. The Razorbacks are 5 and 1 ATS in their last 6 meetings in LSU. Arkansas is 8 and 2 against the spread in the last 10 meetings with LSU. Arkansas is also 13 and 4 against the spread in their last 17 games on the road versus a team with a winning home record.
Bet on LSU -16.5 because…
LSU has been a covering machine in their last 3 games. As a 6.5 dog, LSU beat Auburn 27 to 23 straight up on Oct. 14. The Tigers then went on to Ole Miss where they covered a -6.5 spread by beating the Rebels 40 to 24. Even though LSU lost straight up 10 to 24 to rival Alabama in Week 10, the Tigers still covered the spread. LSU was a 20.5 dog.
Arkansas Vs LSU Tigers ATS Pick
The Tigers are hot against the spread. There’s no doubt about that. But, are there any stats that can lead to the conclusion that LSU covers as a 16.5-point favorite?
I believe there are. LSU played well in the loss to Alabama. On offense, the Tigers made plenty of mistakes. The defense did an excellent job holding Bama to under 30 points.
Arkansas allows 36.1 points per game. LSU allows less than 21 per. The Razorbacks only shot is to make this game a shootout. LSU should win by more than 20 points if the Razorbacks do indeed turn this game into a shootout.
The LSU defense should be the difference in this one. I think the Tigers from the bayou roll to an easy win on Nov. 11.
