No. 15 Auburn will look to bag the road win against the struggling Missouri Tigers when they hit the road to take on their conference rivals in a Week 4 SEC showdown between two teams that clearly have their share of blemishes.

If you’re looking to find out which one of these SEC teams is offering the best value in their Week 4 matchup, let’s find out right now. This game will go down live from memorial Stadium on Saturday at 7:30 PM ET while airing live on ESPNU.

Why Bet the Missouri Tigers Odds at +18

The best reason to back Missouri in this Week 4 matchup is that they’re getting nearly three touchdowns and are playing at home.
Still, the Tigers haven’t looked good at all in suffering back-to-back losses in their 31-13 smackdown home loss against South Carolina two weeks ago and their even more humbling 35-3 loss to Purdue that I predicted last weekend.

Quarterback Drew Lock completed just 12 of 28 passes for 133 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions while the Tigers were held to just 70 rushing yards in the loss. Missouri held the ball for less than 17 full minutes and again, never had a chance against the blossoming Boilermakers. Missouri is allowing a whopping 442.7 yards per game to rank last in the SEC and 102nd nationally.

Coach Barry Odom fired defensive coordinator DeMontie Cross after the Tigers’ loss to South Carolina, but things were even worse last week against Purdue.

"We know that three games in, there’s plenty of negativity," Odom said "We haven’t played well enough to win the ones we’ve wanted to, and you look at the things that they’re probably hearing outside of our walls here — I told them last night, it’s the same thing if we’re sitting here 3-0. I would be hearing how great we were, and really we’re not. We’re 1-2 and we’re hearing probably how terrible we are. It’s always a little bit of life in between there on never being as good or as bad as it seems."

Why Bet the Auburn Tigers Odds at -18

The Tigers look like a good bet, simply because Missouri has been awful on both sides of the ball the last couple of weeks. Still, Auburn didn’t look good themselves in their uninspiring 24-10 Week 3 win over FCS-based Mercer the last time out.

Quarterback Jarrett Stidham completed 32 of 37 passes for 364 yards but failed to throw a touchdown pass while tossing one interception. It was running back Kamryn Pettway that led the way to victory by rushing for 128 yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries. Still, Auburn lost the time of possession battle and Mercer trailed by just a touchdown in the fourth quarter before the Tigers finished them off. Auburn also lost four fumbles in the win.

"We’re excited," Stidham told reporters earlier in the week. "Obviously, we’re about to go on a long run with all the SEC teams, so it’s going to be a challenge each week. Our defense, they’re playing lights out. Hats off to them. They’re truly a great defense. I know offensively, we just want to help a little bit more — obviously with turnovers and whatnot.

Auburn Vs Missouri Betting Tip

Auburn may have some issues they need to resolve moving forward, but the Tigers are the easy pick in this Week 4 road contest despite being on the road, simply because Missouri is a complete and utter mess right now.

Missouri has gone an uninspiring 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a loss while Auburn has gone 5-2 ATS in their last 7 conference games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record. Keep it simple people and go with the 61 percent of public bettors that already like Auburn to win and cover the spread.
