Baylor remained unbeaten by beating Oklahoma State 35-24 in Week 4 to cash in as
7-point favorites as quarterback
Seth Russell completed 18 o 28 passes for 387 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Ishmael Zamora caught eight passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns while fellow wideout Chris Platt added three receptions for 114 yards and two more scores.
For the season, Russell is completing a modest 60.2 percent of his passes for 1,148 yards with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. Russell has thrown two or more touchdown passes in 11 consecutive games. Baylor is ranked 24th nationally in scoring 42.0 ppg) while also ranking an uncharacteristic 13th in points allowed (13.5 ppg).
The bad news is that the Bears are just 3-8 ATS in its last 11 games. The Under is 6-1 in Baylor’s last seven games.
Iowa State cruised to an easy 44-10 win over San Jose State in week 4 while covering the college football betting line as a 6.5-point favorite.
Quarterback Jacob Park completed 15 of 19 pass attempts for 165 yards while tossing three TD strikes while rotating with fellow signal-caller Joel Lanning who went 5-of-8 for 136 yards and two touchdowns.
Running back Mike Warren added 103 rushing yards and one score on 19 carries and the Cyclones picked off Spartans quarterback Josh Love four times in the win.
Unfortunately, Iowa State has lost seven of its last eight games outright, though the Cyclones have gone 4-2 ATS over their last six home games.
How To Bet Baylor Vs Iowa State
It’s all nice and everything that Iowa State got a rare win last weekend, but make no mistake bout it, the Cyclones are going down and going down hard in this Week 5 matchup.
Baylor is far superior on both sides of the ball and should be able to make an ATS win stand up against an Iowa State team that has issues all over the place.
I know the Bears are 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six road games against Iowa State, but these two teams really aren’t close in talent level or on-field performances.
Baylor has scored an insane 165 points in the last three meetings against the Cyclones and should be able to approach the 50-point plateau once again in this meeting.
