I had a good record picking winners in the 2013 Bowl season because no one emailed me with stories of losing their shirt on my college bowl betting picks, but this year could be as different as Marcus Mariota and Jamies Winston.

For those of you who are tempted to scroll down and jump to the ending, here is a quick look at the top two bowl games of the season. I am personally looking forward to the Seminoles Vs. Ducks matchup the most due to the QBs in the game, but don’t let that take the shine off of the Sugar Bowl.

Take A Closer Look At The Top Two College Bowl Games
Of The 2014-15 Season.

College football bowl season gets underway Saturday and this year we’re treated to a total of 39 games, including the the national championship. I am rating all 38 of the college bowls with scheduled opponents below along with my betting tips for each matchup.

Happy Hunting Sports Fans!

We present the annual worst-to-best College Bowl list along with my coveted betting advice.

#38 Hawaii Bowl
Fresno State Bulldogs vs Rice Owls
Date: Dec. 24, 2014
Start Time: 8 p.m. ET
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Stadium: Aloha Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Fresno State Vs  Rice
Point Spread: Bulldogs -2
Game Total: 59

You’ll ruin your Christmas Eve if you watch this matchup between two absolutely awful teams that both come into this contest off of losses in their last contests.

All you need to know about this matchup is that Rice is favored to win – despite getting obliterated 76-31 in their regular season finale! Maybe it’s me, but the Over 59 Total points looks really good to me!

#37 Poinsettia Bowl
San Diego State Aztecs vs Navy Midshipmen
Date: Dec. 23, 2014
Start Time: 6 p.m. ET
Location: San Diego, California
Stadium: Qualcomm Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  San Diego State Vs  Navy
Point Spread: Aztecs -2
Game Total: 56.5

Navy still has to play their annual regular season matchup against Army on Saturday, but this is a classic ‘offense vs. defense’ matchup that just doesn’t impress me much. San Diego State is the only bowl team playing in its home stadium this postseason and they’ve got a wonderful defense (20.1 ppg). The good news for the Midshipmen is that their one-dimensional rushing attack is pretty damned powerful.

#36 Camellia Bowl
Southern Alabama Jaguars vs Bowling Green Falcons
Date: Dec. 20, 2014
Start Time: 9:15 p.m. ET
Location: Montgomery, Alabama
Stadium: Cramton Bowl
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Southern Alabama vs Bowling Green
Point Spread: Jaguars -2.5
Game Total: 55.5

South Alabama will make it s first-ever bowl game appearance in the inaugural Camellia Bowl, but the Jaguars dropped two straight and four of their final five games while going 1-6 ATS over their last seven. On the other hand, Bowling Green lost three straight to close out their regular season campaign while going 1-4-1 ATS over their last six – and they’re favored in this one!

#35 Heart of Dallas Bowl
Illinois Illini vs Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
Date: Dec. 26, 2014
Start Time: 1:00 p.m. ET
Location: Dallas, Texas
Stadium: Cotton Bowl
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Illinois Vs  Louisiana Tech
Point Spread: Bulldogs -4
Game Total: 62

Louisiana Tech won six of their final eight games, but their two losses came over their final three games, so the Bulldogs aren’t exactly on fire right now. Could the disappointing Fighting Irish pull  off an upset as 6-point dogs? After seeing them sin their final two regular season games over Penn State and Northwestern, I think so! However, you might want to remember that Tech went 10-3 ATS this season.

#34 Quick Lane Bowl
Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs North Carolina Tar Heels
Date: Dec. 26, 2014
Start Time: 4:30 p.m. ET
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Stadium: Ford Field
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Rutgers Vs  North Carolina
Point Spread: Tar Heels -3
Game Total: 65.5

Both of these teams have been wildly inconsistent all season long, making this matchup one of the tougher games to predict – or watch – for that matter. Carolina is coming off a resounding 35-7 beat-down at the hands of N.C. State in their regular season finale but they’re still favored over a Rutgers team that recorded a narrow 41-38 win over Maryland.  You could see plenty of points on the board in this one with both of these mostly defenseless teams combining to allow a whopping 70.8 points per game.

#33 Pinstripe Bowl
Boston College Eagles vs Penn State Nittany Lions
Date: Dec. 27, 2014
Start Time: 4:30 p.m. ET
Location: Bronx , New York
Stadium: Yankee Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Boston College Vs  Penn State
Point Spread: Eagles -2.5
Game Total: 39

My beloved Penn State Nittany Lions have had a very rough first season under James Franklin and dropped their final two regular season games heading into this matchup, their first bowl game since 2011. BC has also been inconsistent this season, but the Eagles won three of their last five games and spanked Syracuse in their finale. The return to bowl game play may be enough to make you watch this one. Otherwise…I think 4:30 is a good time for a short power nap.

#32 Armed Forces Bowl
Pittsburgh Panthers vs Houston Cougars
Date: Jan. 02, 2015
Start Time: 12:00 p.m. ET
Location: Fort Worth , Texas
Stadium: Amon Carter Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Pittsburgh vs Houston
Point Spread: Panthers -3
Game Total: 53

Houston will be playing for an interim coach after firing former head coach Tony Levine this past Sunday. Pittsburgh won two straight to close out the season….but I think fireworks could erupt in this one with both teams topping the 30-point plateau in each of their final three regular season games. Prior to winning their last three, Pittsburgh gave up at least 40 points in three straight losses.

#31 New Orleans Bowl
Nevada Wolf Pack vs UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns
Date: Dec. 20, 2014
Start Time: 11 a.m. ET
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Stadium: Mercedes-Benz Superdome
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Nevada vs UL Lafayette
Point Spread: Wolf Pack -1.5
Game Total: 61

I think this matchup is going to be one of the more entertaining bowl games one the schedule this year. These two evenly- matched teams both average around 31 points per game and allow a near-equal 28 points per contest defensively. While both teams won their regular season finales, let it be known that  Louisiana-Lafayette has played in this bowl in each of the past three seasons – winning each time.

#30 New Mexico Bowl
UTEP Miners vs Utah State Aggies
Date: Dec. 20, 2014
Start Time: 2:20 p.m. ET
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Stadium: University Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  UTEP vs Utah State
Point Spread: Aggies -11
Game Total: 52

UTEP alternated wins and losses over their final five games while Utah State has a fine defense that allows just 20.8 points per game. While the Utes got smacked senseless in their 50-19 regular season finale by Boise State, I say they’re a big favorite for a reason.

#29 Popeye’s Bahamas Bowl
Western Kentucky Hilltoppers vs Central Michigan Chippewas
Date: Dec. 24, 2014
Start Time: 1:00 p.m. ET
Location: Nassau, Bahamas
Stadium:
TV Info: ESPN
Radio:  Western Kentucky Vs  Central Michigan
Point Spread: Hilltoppers -3
Game Total: 65

Western Kentucky can score the ball like crazy (44.0 ppg) but they also give up more than their fair share of points (39.3). One reason to watch this game is that the  Hilltoppers have the nation’s leading passer if quarterback Brandon Doughty (4,344 yards). Western Kentucky also closed out the regular season with four consecutive wins while Central Michigan got man-handled in their 32-20 loss to Central Michigan.

#28 Military Bowl
Virginia Tech Hokies vs Cincinnati Bearcats
Date: Dec. 27, 2014
Start Time: 1 p.m. ET
Location: Annapolis, Maryland
Stadium: Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Virginia Vs  Cincinnati
Point Spread: Bearcats -3.5
Game Total: 49

Cincinnati is a big favorite for a reason. The Bearcats won each of their last five games while going 4-0-1 ATS. Virginia Tech lost three of their final five. Strangely enough, the Hokies beat Ohio State this season 35-21 while Cincy fell against the Buckeyes 50-28 on the road.

#27 Independence Bowl
Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes vs South Carolina Gamecocks
Date: Dec. 27, 2014
Start Time: 4 p.m. ET
Location: Shreveport, Louisiana.
Stadium: Independence Stadium
TV Info: ABC
Radio:  Miami (Fl.) Vs  South Carolina
Point Spread: pk
Game Total: 59.5

All you need to know about this contest is that Miami closed out its season with three straight losses, yet the Hurricane are still favored over a reeling South Carolina Gamecocks team that lost three of its final five. Miami will look to avoid its first losing season since 2007 while South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier will try to avoid his first since his 1987

#26 TaxSlayer Bowl
Iowa Hawkeyes vs Tennessee Volunteers
Date: Jan. 02, 2015
Start Time: 3:20 p.m. ET
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Stadium: EverBank Field
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Iowa Vs  Tennessee
Point Spread: Volunteers -3
Game Total: 52.5

Two inconsistent, but evenly matched, teams will look to close out their seasons with a victory in this matchup of mediocre programs. Iowa lost two straight to close out the season, but those losses came against good teams in Nebraska and Wisconsin. Tennessee also looked good in staying with Alabama and Missouri in closer-than-expected losses over their last five while winning their other three.

#25 Cactus Bowl
Oklahoma State Cowboys vs Washington Huskies
Date: Jan. 02, 2015
Start Time: 10:15 p.m. ET
Location: Tempe, Arizona
Stadium: Sun Devil Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Oklahoma State Vs  Washington
Point Spread: Huskies -5.5
Game Total: 55.5

I had really high hopes Oklahoma State after seeing them nearly beat Florida State in their regular season opener, but the Cowboys have fallen off in a  big way. Sure, they beat Oklahoma on the road to become bowl eligible, but Washington State played well when it mattered most, beating Washington State and Oregon State in their final two Pac-12 contests while topping the 30-point plateau four times over their final five.

#24 Go Daddy Bowl
Toledo Rockets vs Arkansas State Red Wolves
Date: Jan. 04, 2015
Start Time: 9 p.m. ET
Location: Mobile, Alabama
Stadium: Ladd Peebles Stadiuml
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Toledo Vs  Arkansas State
Point Spread: Rockets -2.5
Game Total: 66

The very last bowl game on the 2014-15 docket has a chance to be a good one. Both of these teams average right around 35 points per game, but I believe the difference will be defense. Toledo won four of its L/5 games while giving up 20 or less three times, including each of their final two games.  Arkansas State gave up 35 or more in each of their final three games – and that doesn’t bode very well for them if you ask me.

#23 Birmingham Bowl
East Carolina Pirates vs Florida Gators
Date: Jan. 03, 2015
Start Time: 1 p.m. ET
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Stadium: Legion Field
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  East Carolina vs Florida
Point Spread: Gators -7.5
Game Total: 57.5

Florida fired head coach Will Muschamp so they’ll be playing this contest for an interim head coach. Florida dropped two of its final three games but is still touchdown faves over an East Carolina team that lost three of its final five. Still will be playing for an interim coach, and you have to wonder about the Gators’ mindset. ECU quarterback Shane Carden is second in the country in passing yardage (4,309) and I believe the Pirates are going to bring their collective ‘A’ game.

#22 Bitcoin St Petersburg Bowl
NC State Wolfpack vs UCF Knights
Date: Dec. 26, 2014
Start Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
Location: St. Petersburg, Florida
Stadium: Tropicana Field
TV Info: CBS
Radio:  NC State Vs  UCF
Point Spread: Knights -3
Game Total: 49

NC State has been pretty good over the second half of the season and rides a two-game winning streak into this intriguing bowl game matchup. Too bad they’re facing an underrated Central Florida team that won its final four regular season contests. This could be one of the most interesting bowls games on the schedule this season.

#21 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
Western Michigan Broncos vs Air Force Falcons
Date: Dec. 20, 2014
Start Time: 5:45 p.m. ET
Location: Boise, Idaho
Stadium: Albertsons Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Western Michigan vs Air Force
Point Spread: Broncos -3
Game Total: 55.5

Both of these teams can put points in the board in a hurry, so this contest could turn out to be an entertaining shootout. No matter the outcome, both teams can say they’ve had highly successful season, seeing as how Air Force went 3-9 last season and Western Michigan 1-11.

#20 Miami Beach Bowl
Memphis Tigers vs BYU Cougars
Date: Dec. 22, 2014
Start Time: 2 p.m. ET
Location: Miami, Florida
Stadium: Marlins Ballpark
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Memphins Vs  BYU
Point Spread: Tigers -1
Game Total: 56.5

BYU looked absolutely phenomenal earlier this season but they had their title hopes crushed when gifted quarterback Taysom Hill got injured. Still, I think they can take a Memphis team that fattened its record by playing inferior competition.

#19 Foster Farms Bowl
Maryland Terrapines vs Stanford Cardinal
Date: Dec. 30, 2014
Start Time: 3 p.m. ET
Location Santa Clara, California
Stadium: Levis Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Maryland Vs  Stanford
Point Spread: Stanford -13
Game Total: 49

I had such high hopes for Stanford this season, but the Cardinal had more than their fair share of adversity this season, not to mention an offense that often struggles mightily to score. Maryland has alternated SU wins and losses over thief final five games – and will face a Stanford defense that gave up a paltry 16.0 points per game this season.

#18 Royal Purple Bowl
Utah Utes vs Colorado State Rams
Date: Dec. 20, 2014
Start Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Stadium: Sam Boyd Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Colorado State Vs  Utah Utes
Point Spread: Utes -4
Game Total: 58

The Colorado State Rams had an absolutely fantastic season, even if they aren’t a ‘real’ national title contender in the eyes of most.  Still, the Rams will have a big challenge in trying to win this contest under an interim head coach after recently losing head coach Jim McElwain to Florida. The Rams will square off against a Utah team that lost three of its final five regular season games.

#17 Russell Athletic Bowl
Clemson Tigers vs Oklahoma Sooners
Date: Dec. 29, 2014
Start Time: 5:30 p.m. ET
Location: Orlando, Florida
Stadium: Florida Citrus Bowl
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Clemson Vs  Oklahoma
Point Spread: pk
Game Total: N/A

The Sooners limp into this contest after losing their final regular season game against Oklahoma State while Clemson has won two straight and four of its last five. I’d be weary of both inconsistent teams in this one, although I will say that I love Sooners running back Samaje Perine.

#16 Holiday Bowl
Nebraska Cornhuskers vs USC Trojans
Date: Dec. 27, 2014
Start Time: 8 p.m. ET
Location: San Diego, California
Stadium: Qualcomm Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Nebraska Vs  USC
Point Spread: Trojans -6
Game Total: 62

Nebraska has the challenge of playing for an interim head coach after unceremoniously firing Bo Pelini last week. Let’s just say it should be interesting to see if the ‘Huskers show up for this one, particularly seeing as how many of their players were ticked off about Pelini’s firing.

#15 Sun Bowl
Duke Blue Devils vs Arizona State Sun Devils
Date: Dec. 27, 2014
Start Time: 2:00 p.m. ET
Location: El Paso, Texas
Stadium: Sun Bowl
TV Info: CBS
Radio:  Duke Vs  Arizona State
Point Spread: Sun Devils -9
Game Total: 59.5

Arizona State had the look of a legitimate national title contender just a few weeks back. Despite struggling down the stretch, the Sun Devils should be able to take out a Duke team that isn’t very explosive on offense, hence the nearly 10-pooint spread. The Sun Devils win, but will they cover?

#14 Boca Raton Bowl
Marshall Thundering Herd vs Northern Illinois Huskies
Date: Dec. 23, 2014
Start Time: 6 p.m. ET
Location: Boca Raton, Florida
Stadium: FAU Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Marshall Vs  Northern Illinois
Point Spread: Thundering Herd -11
Game Total: 61.5

The first-ever Boca Raton Bowl features two of the best mid-major programs in the nation this season. Conference USA champion Marshall will battle MAC champion Northern Illinois in a matchup that could turn out to be the most entertaining and evenly matched pairing on the entire bowl game schedule. Maybe it’s me, but I’m thinking the 11-point spread for this matchup is about eight points off.

#13 Texas Bowl
Texas Longhorns vs Arkansas Razorbacks
Date: Dec. 29, 2014
Start Time: 9:00 p.m. ET
Location: Houston, Texas
Stadium: NRG Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Texas Vs  Arkansas
Point Spread: Razorbacks -5.5
Game Total: 45.5

This matchup may not be highly anticipated by many football fanatics, but I’m looking forward to this matchup after seeing the way Arkansas came on strong this season under Bret Bielema and Texas rebounded under first-year head coach Charlie Strong.

#12 Liberty Bowl
West Virginia Moutaineers vs Texas A&M Aggies
Date: Dec. 29, 2014
Start Time: 9:00 p.m. ET
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Stadium: Liberty Bowl
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  West Virginia Vs  Texas A&M
Point Spread: Moutaineers -4
Game Total: N/A

These twp seven-win teams both averaged over 33 points per game this season – while allowing at least 26 points per game defensively. West Virginia snapped a three-game skid by wining its regular season finale. Texas A&M lost its final two games and three of its L/5 overall. Expect plenty of points in this one!

#11 Belk Bowl
No. 21 Louisville Cardinals vs No. 13 Georgia Bulldogs
Date: Dec. 31, 2014
Start Time: 6:45 p.m. ET
Location: Charlotte, Nort Carolina
Stadium: Bank of America Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Louisville Vs  Georgia
Point Spread: Bulldogs -7
Game Total: 59.5

Two nine-win teams will meet in this contest but I think college football gaming enthusiasts would do well to remember that this is the same Georgia team that lost to mediocre Florida 38-20 earlier this season.

#10 Citrus Bowl
Minnesota Golden Gophers vs Missouri Tigers
Date: Jan. 01, 2015
Start Time: 12:30 p.m. ET
Location: Orlando, Florida
Stadium: Florida Citrus Bowl
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Minnesota Vs  Missouri
Point Spread: Tigers -5.5
Game Total: N/A

I think it’s nice that the Minnesota Gophers will play in their first New Year’s Day bowl game since Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, but Missouri looks like a virtual lock to me after another fine campaign in which they reached the SEC title game opposite Alabama.

#9 Alamo Bowl
UCLA Bruins vs Kansas State Wildcats
Date: Jan. 02, 2015
Start Time: 6:45 p.m. ET
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Stadium: Alamodome
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  UCLA vs Kansas State
Point Spread: Wildcats -1.5
Game Total: 59

UCLA star quarterback Brett Hundley will almost assuredly be playing his final college game in this affair so I guess that makes it worth watching. That…and the fact that K-State plays for arguably the most intelligent and grandfatherly head coach in the game, the beloved Bill Snyder.

#8 Fiesta Bowl
No. 20 Boise State Broncos vs. No 10 Arizona Wildcats
Date: Dec. 31, 2014
Start Time: 4 p.m. ET
Location: Glendale, Arizona
Stadium: University of Phoenix Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Boise State vs Arizona
Point Spread: Wildcats -3
Game Total: 69

Arizona had its national championship hopes dashed in their humbling 51-13 Pac-12 title game loss against Oregon on Saturday, but I expect this affair to be a flat-out thriller, seeing as how Boise State really got hot over the second half of the season and enter this contest having won each of their L/5 games.

#7 Music City Bowl
Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs LSU Tigers
Date: Dec. 30, 2014
Start Time: 3 p.m. ET
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Stadium: LP Field
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Notre Dame Vs  LSU
Point Spread: Tigers -7.5
Game Total: 52

Notre Dame has floundered to four straight losses heading into this one while LSU lost two of its last three to close out the regular season. Still, this matchup of mediocre teams looks fairly evenly matched and well…its is Notre Dame and LSU.

#6 Outback Bowl
Wisconsin Badgers vs Auburn Tigers
Date: Jan. 01, 2015
Start Time: 12:00 p.m. ET
Location: Tampa, Florida
Stadium: Raymond James Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Wisconsin Vs  Auburn
Point Spread: Tigers -5.5
Game Total: 61

While Wisconsin fell completely apart in its 59-0 shutout loss against Ohio State in the Big Ten title game last weekend, Auburn has lost three of its L/5 games while giving up at least 34 points in each loss. Wisconsin Heisman Trophy hopeful Melvin Gordon is worth watching in this one.

#5 Orange Bowl
No. 12 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs No. 7 Mississippi State Bulldogs
Date: Dec. 31, 2014
Start Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
Location: Miami, Florida
Stadium: Sun Life Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio: Georgia Tech Vs  Mississippi Sate
Point Spread: Bulldogs -7
Game Total: 59.5

It’s a damn shame that Dak Prescott and the Mississippi State Bulldogs couldn’t keep up the fine play that made them the No. 1 team in the nation at one point. Now, the Bulldogs will look to avoid a loss against the triple option happy Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets – and beating them will be no small feat.

#4 Cotton Bowl
No. 5 Baylor Bears vs No. 8 Michigan State
Date: Jan. 01, 2015
Start Time: 12:30 p.m. ET
Location: Arlington, Texas
Stadium: AT&T Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Baylor Vs  Michigan State
Point Spread: Bears -2.5
Game Total: 70

It’s offense versus defense in this one as high-scoring Baylor looks to show everyone why they feel like they should have been in the final four playoff teams. Many think Michigan State’s got a shot in this one – but I don’t!

#3 Peach Bowl
No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels vs No. 6 TCU Horned Frogs
Date: Dec. 31, 2014
Start Time: 12:00 p.m. ET
Location: Atlanta , Georgia
Stadium: Georgia Dome
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  TCU Vs  Ole Miss
Point Spread: Frogs -3
Game Total: 56

Mississippi’s defense has been rock solid nearly all season long, but TCU can be absolutely explosive on offense. I like the Horned Frogs to show everyone…starting with Mississippi, why they belonged in the final four playoff picture.

#2 Sugar Bowl
No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes vs No.1 Alabama Crimson
Date: Jan. 01, 2015
Start Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Stadium: Mercedes-Benz Superdome
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio:  Ohio State vs Alabama
Point Spread: Crimson Tide -10.5
Game Total: 28

Sure, this game has outstanding – and equally hated – head coaches in Nick Saban and Urban Meyer and some of the best collegiate talent in the game today. The Crimson Tide are favored by a whopping 10 points over the Buckeyes and some think that spread is too high. I don’t!

#1 Rose Bowl
No. 3 Florida State vs No. 2 Oregon Ducks
Date: Jan. 01, 2015
Start Time: 5 p.m. ET
Location: Pasadena California
Stadium: Rose Bowl
TV Info: ESPN
Stream Info: WatchESPN.com
Radio: Florida State vs Oregon
Point Spread: Ducks -7.5
Game Total: 71

Florida State has gotten the short end of the stick as far as rankings from the bowl committee, but that’s okay because now, the Seminoles has a Mount Rushmore-sized chip on their collective shoulders.

I love Oregon’s Marcus Mariota, the likely Heisman winner this year, but I don’t know how the Ducks are favored by a touchdown in this one. Still, I wish these two teams were competing in the national title tilt.
