The undefeated Oregon Ducks place their perfect record on the line as they travel to Stanford to play the Cardinals in a battle between the 2 and the 5 overall best teams in college football. This will steal the attention away from the NFL game that night as the Ducks will look to use their fast thinking QB to cause most of the damage either with his feet or a perfectly thrown pass to an open receiver. The Ducks have had trouble in recent years dealing with the Cardinals and this game is set for a possible upset.
The Ducks have shown that their offense is one of the fastest most precise ones in college football; they have the dual ability to run the ball or pass it. With 20 touchdowns on the season the Ducks QB has shown a more laid back mind set handing the ball off 80% of the time in the red zone assisting the back with their great numbers. Defensively they are scary; they have averaged a pick in each of their last 6 games as well as the ability to get after the opposing teams QB.
The last time that Stanford beat the Ducks was back with Andrew Luck at the helm, but now they seem to be a little more faded with some issues at tight end. The Cardinals way is very much like the Patriots, they love to use their tight ends to roll out looking for the pass to move the chains on the sidelines. In this game however, I think that Stanford will just get over powered and not catch what’s happening till it’s too later.
What to expect:
The Ducks are -7.5 in this game known for being close calls. I think that if everyone really just relaxed on the Cardinals side they might have the ability to hang with them, at least for a while. In the end there is not a defense in college football except maybe Alabama that can stop this type of offensive power, take the Ducks as they quack their way into victory.
