Bet The Cincinnati Bearcats at -3 Because…
The can score with the best teams in the nation!
Cincinnati (6-4 SU, 5-5 ATS) has won three of its last four games and got back in the win column on Saturday by beating Tulsa 49-38 one week after losing to conference rival Houston.
Bearcats quarterback Gunner Kiel completed 29 of 42 passes for 386 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while running back Mike Boone rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns on just 18 carries.
Fellow backs, Tion Green and Hosey Williams combined for 127 yards and one score apiece on 12 and eight carries respectively. Cincinnati converted an encouraging 13 of 17 third down attempts in the win. The Bearcats are ranked an impressive 14th in scoring (38.7 ppg) and an impressive 80th in points allowed (28.2 ppg).
Bet The South Florida Bulls at +3 Because…
They’re playing at home and have one of the most underrated defenses in the country.
South Florida (6-4 SU, 7-2 ATS) has won two straight games and five of its last six games overall and beat the hell out of No. 22 Temple in its 44-23 Week 11 win while easily covering the college football betting line as a 2.5-point road dog.
The Bulls jumped out to a commanding 31-10 halftime lead and never looked back in their surprisingly easy win over a very good Temple team. Quarterback Quinton Flowers completed 15 of 22 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns and running back Marlon Mack had his way in rushing for a whopping 230 yards and two scores on 21 carries.
“He’s the real deal,” head coach Willie Taggart said of Flowers. “He’s an electrifying player who reminds me of (Taggart’s former teammate in high school) Tommie Frazier in that he’s so savvy. You think you have him, and you don’t. Guys can come scot-free on a blitz and he’ll still be able to get out of it.”
"He’s silly fast,” Taggart said of Mack. “Guys have angles on him and he still pulls away from them. But he also has such good vision and patience to set up blocks.”
The Bulls are ranked 62nd in scoring (29.3 ppg) and an impressive 38th in points allowed (22.3 ppg).
Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
A convincing 64 percent of the betting public likes Cincinnati to get the road win and ATS cover, but I’m going the other way with my pick here and backing the red-hot South Florida Bulls.
I love the Bulls’ duo of Quinton Flowers and Marlon Mack and I believe they’re going to lead the Bulls to another solid win after watching them decimate a Temple Owls team I though would cruise to victory a week ago.
The Bearcats are 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 conference games and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games following an SU win but the South Florida Bulls have gone 4-0-1 ATS in their last five home games and a bankroll-boosting 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.
I know the Bearcats are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 meetings against the Bulls, but South Florida has the better defense by far, making them the right pick to win and cash in!
