Bet The Clemson Tigers at -6.5 because…
The Tigers are heavy favorites in each remaining game.
No. 6 Clemson beat the hell out of ACC rival Boston College by routinely shredding the Eagles’ top-rated defense en route to an emphatic 34-17 win on Saturday.

Sophomore quarterback DeShaun Watson completed 27 of 41 passes for a season-high 420 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions while adding another touchdown on the ground. While Clemson remained unbeaten. The Tigers narrowly failed to cover the spread as an 18-point home favorite but posted their school-record 14th consecutive home victory as they get set for Miami.
"They’ve been playing football here for 100-plus years, but there’s never been a group that’s won 14 in a row at home until this team, so that’s pretty special," Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said. "My hat’s off to the whole team."
Clemson built a 17-10 halftime lead and never looked back, thanks mostly to Watson’s eye-opening performance.
"We knew that we had some shots in the first half and just didn’t connect," said Watson, who is 10-1 as a starter. "I overshot some receivers, but in the second half, we connected and it opened up."
Defensively, the Tigers held Boston College to 246 yards while harassing Eagles quarterback Jeff Smith into a horrific 7 of 22 passing day. Clemson also forced 10 punts and racked up a whopping eight tackles for loss. The Tigers are ranked 33rd in scoring (35.2 ppg) and a stellar 14th in points allowed (16.7 ppg).
Bet The Miami Hurricanes at +6.5 Because…
The Clemson Tigers 0-4 As Road Favorite since last season
The Hurricanes brought their two-game losing streak to a halt by beating ACC rival Virginia Tech 30-20 as quarterback Brad Kaaya led the Hurricanes on a nine-play, 75-yard drive late to finish off the desperate Hokies one week after losing a heartbreaker against in-state rival Florida State.
"We preached we can’t worry about last week," Kaaya said. "We want to see Florida State again. To do that, we have to handle business."
No. 1 turnover margin in FBS (+13). Five of those 13 came from the ACC Defensive Back of the Week, Artie Burns – https://t.co/ejEHhJgnYD

Kaaya completed 19 of 30 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns in the win while Miami’s defense force four turnovers, including two interceptions by cornerback Artie Burns. The Hurricanes are ranked 44th in scoring (33.7 ppg) and a solid 42nd in points allowed (22.7 ppg).
"We played great on defense," end Chad Thomas said. "We were greedy."
Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
66 percent of the betting public likes Clemson and I say that is undoubtedly the right call. Miami’s 39-24 loss isn’t what bothers me most about the Hurricanes. No, what makes me to believe Miami has no chance in this contest is how they lost 34-23 at Cincinnati two weeks ago.
While Miami is heading in the right direction, the reality is that the Hurricanes are likely a year or two away from being really competitive. Clemson, on the other hand, has answered the bell every time this season and overcome their fair share of adversity in squeaking past Notre Dame 24-22 on Oct. 3 and Louisville 20-17 one week earlier.
I know the Tigers are just 1-7 ATS in their last eight conference games and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, but I like them to put a dent into both of those trends this weekend.
I am picking the Clemson Tigers as the smart college football week 8 bet to beat the Miami Hurricanes. My final score prediction is Clemson 31, Miami 21.
