College Football Bowl Game Lock Picks

When I am talking about my college football bowl game lock picks, I am not just casually picking random teams here so PLEASE take advantage of this by betting football straights, parlays…Sometimes this is so easy because there is some horrible team bound for Division II like Idaho to pick against or if you’re a team from Ohio like the Bobcats and RedHawks you are NOT looking good to win this year in NCAA Bowl games. I picked early games, so as long as I don’t get fired you will get even BETTER games next time!

College Football Bowl Game Lock Picks

Birmingham Bowl: Colorado State Rams (7-5) vs Idaho Vandals (8-4)
When:  Thursday, Dec. 22 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Albertsons Stadium – Boise, Idaho
TV: ESPN
Odds: USF -11

Analysis: The Idaho Potatoes…I mean Vandals may have 8 wins but they play more like a typical 4 win team really. They’ve got a pathetic offense that ranks 105th in rushing offense barely getting over 140 yards a game and are 93rd in total offense.

Colorado State isn’t a team I would put in the same vain as say a Power 5 Conference team, but they aren’t near as terrible as Idaho either.

The Rams can at least run up some offense and scoring sometimes. They pass for 228.0 yards a game and rush for 223.0 which ranks them 31st rushing and 37th in overall offense in the FBS, so at least we know we won’t fall asleep watching them like we will Idaho.

This is a game that will probably be over in the 1st Half which warrants the Colorado State Rams as my frist college football bowl game lock pick today.

Cotton Bowl: Ohio Bobcats (8-5) vs Troy Trojans (9-3)
When:  Friday Dec. 23 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Ladd-Pebbles Stadium – Mobile, Alabama
TV: ESPN
Odds: Troy -4

Analysis: The fact that either Ohio or Troy were able to get in a bowl game past December 17th shows that the level of team in the College Bowl games is really sad sometimes.

I just want to start with Ohio doesn’t have a chance in hell of winning this or even being within a touchdown for that matter. Ohio won 9-3 over Akron should tell this whole story enough right there. They have a little bit of defense, and this is a game I advise DO NOT WATCH IT!

The Trojans, besides being a great team at birth control, can generate a little bit of offense at times. The QB Brandons Silvers is decent considering he is playing horrible teams. He has almost 3,000 yards passing to lead the 48th ranked offense in the nation. Also, Troy made the AP top 25 for the 1st time ever which should be enough to blow the Bobcats over.

College Football Bowl Game Lock Pick: Troy Trojans -4

St. Petersburg Bowl: Miami (Ohio) RedHawks (6-6) vs Mississippi State Bulldogs (5-7)
When:  Monday, Dec. 26 at 11:00 am ET
Where: Tropicana Field – St. Petersburg, Florida
TV: ESPN
Odds: Mississippi State -13

Analysis: First of all, I would like to say what ever happened to a team needing to be at least .500 to get in a College Bowl Game Mississippi State? It sounds like they need Dak Prescott back & I wonder if he is doing any good now.

The biggest compliment I could possibly give Miami Ohio is that they are a very neat and organized team, because when I look at their schedule they lost their top 6 games and won the last 6 games which looks very neat!

I am not sure what happened to the Bulldogs falling below a winning season, but I can tell you there is no way they suck bad enough to lose to a Miami team that isn’t even from Florida! The Bulldogs do have a decent offense ranked 40th overall with a rushing offense getting over 230 yards a game ranked No. 24.

The defense for Mississippi State is almost non-existent especially against the pass, but playing the RedHawks they don’t need any to win or cover the college betting point spread for that matter.
